Influencer with no limbs solutions query ‘everyone wants to know’ about life with husband
Social media star Briel Adams-Wheatley, who was born without any arms or legs, has lifted the lid on her marriage and answered the question fans have been pestering her about for years

A beauty influencer with no limbs has opened up about life with her husband and answered the question “everyone wants to know.”
Glam Briel Adams-Wheatley was born with no arms and no legs but despite the challenges, she hasn’t let her disability stop her from finding love. The social media star was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and suffered with Hanhart Syndrome after her parents attempted to abort her.
The rare condition left Briel limbless and as soon as she was born her mum and dad abandoned her. She was adopted by a family in Utah and grew up in the States. Briel, who was born a man but transitioned to a woman a few years ago, has shared the personal challenges she faces living without limbs.
One question fans have constantly asked is how her husband Adam dealt with the news of her transition due to the fact they started dating before the change. In a video shared last year, Briel said: “I started my transition a year after we got married, right?” Adam replied and said: “I think so, but you told me way before everybody else.”
Briel added: “Yeah, I had also told him a little bit before we got married, too that I was having feelings about it, but I just wasn’t sure if it was something I was comfortable with, actually fully going into and just keeping suppressed. And if he was comfortable with it and everything.
“But Adam was the first person to know before everyone. And I waited a few months before I did it publicly as well. I already started a few things behind the scenes.”
Adam added: “I’m very happy that she found who she is. And I’ve seen a big difference in her happiness and confidence and everything. But I mean, I fell in love with her and not what she was, just who she was.”
Adam said adjusting to pronouns was a challenge for the couple: “It was hard going from like pronouns for more than one reason.”
“One, because I knew before everybody else. So I had to use he/him in front of people, and I couldn’t remember who she had told yet or not.
“And so it was really confusing to use one thing at home and another [outside their home]. And then as soon as I got the pronouns under control, she changed her name and then started wearing wigs.
“It was just a lot of learning, learning, learning, learning, learning. But it was a good journey. She was patient with me.”
Briel currently shares content with her social media fans, including more than five million people on TikTok and more than one million on Instagram.
The couple found each other after a Tinder match in February 2020.
