Liverpool information: Arne Slot urged to signal Michael Olise as Virgil van Dijk addresses rumours
Liverpool have a number of decisions to make in the transfer market this summer, with Arne Slot reportedly being urged to pursue a swap deal involving Michael Olise as a replacement for Mohamed Salah
Liverpool have the chance to salvage their faltering campaign with a strong finish in their remaining four fixtures of the season. The Reds’ reign as Premier League champions will come to an end in less than a month with either Arsenal or Manchester City likely to claim the crown.
Following their climb to fourth place after beating Crystal Palace 3-1 last weekend, victory over Manchester United on Sunday by a two-goal margin would see them overtake their fierce rivals into third spot.
While a top-three finish certainly won’t wash away the frustration of what might have been in Arne Slot’s second campaign, it could offer positive momentum heading into next term. Daily Star Sport has a look at all the latest rumours..

Amongst the problems that have hindered Liverpool’s advancement this season, the shortage of goals from their attacking line could well top the list, reports the Mirror.
While the club might splash out on their frontline again this summer, former Reds midfielder Jermaine Pennant has called on Arne Slot to bring in Michael Olise as Mohamed Salah’s replacement, with the Egyptian set to depart at the season’s conclusion.
The Bayern Munich star has enjoyed a brilliant second campaign in Germany, notching 20 goals and 29 assists across 47 outings. Although his Bayern contract doesn’t run out until 2029, Pennant urged that securing the star must be done “at all costs” for Liverpool.
Virgil van Dijk addresses rumours
With Salah and Andy Robertson set to depart Liverpool, Curtis Jones’s future remains uncertain. The midfielder is entering the final year of his deal with no word yet on a potential extension.
The 25-year-old was surprisingly linked with Inter Milan during the January window but remained at Anfield and has since caught the eye at right-back in recent fixtures.
Having made only 14 league starts this term, there have been whispers that the England star has become restless with his position under Slot.
When quizzed on whether he’d like to see the academy graduate remain at Anfield, skipper Van Dijk responded: “Of course. I don’t know what’s going to happen because I’m not the boss.
“Curtis I thought was outstanding against Everton, was not too much spoken about but especially in possession he was quite a big game-changer, especially in his positioning.
“It’s nice to be in your original position but he is so comfortable on the ball, he understands what is asked from that position.”
