‘You’re f***ing crazy’
Two sources close to the US President claimed he lashed out at Netanyahu and alleged that he helped to keep the Israeli leader out of jail, when he faced a corruption trial in his country.
A US official, according to Axios claimed Trump even called his counterpart “stupid”, saying: “You’re fucking crazy. You’d be in prison if it weren’t for me. I’m saving your a**. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this.”
‘What the f**k are you doing?’

Trump sent mixed messages to the public on the progress of the peace deals. On negotiations with Iran, he told CNBC: “I don’t care if they’re over, honestly.” Trump added: “If they’re over, they’re over. If they’re not, you know, I think they took too much time. Frankly, I thought they started to get very boring.” Later however Trump took to Truth Social to claim talks were “continuing, at a rapid pace”.
Israeli defence minister Israel Katz claimed Netanyahu told Trump over the phone that Israel will attack the southern suburbs of Beirut if Hezbollah continues targeting northern Israel. The US President however claimed “there will be no troops going to Beirut”.
Despite a Washington-brokered ceasefire reached in April, the two sides have continued to exchange strikes after Israel targeted areas in Lebanon, saying it was for self-defence. The latest exchanges came as a second round of talks between Israel and Lebanon is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday in Washington, where Lebanese negotiators are set to seek a full ceasefire that will prevent future attacks.
