Arsenal information: £80m star ‘open to very large switch’ after ace agrees to signal contract
Arsenal are expected to be busy in the summer transfer window as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season, with positive developments on Morgan Rogers and teenage winger Jeremy Monga
Arsenal are anticipated to move swiftly and decisively in the forthcoming summer transfer window.
Gunners sporting director Andrea Berta and manager Mikel Arteta have already pinpointed the squad areas requiring strengthening once the window opens on June 15. Arteta made his intentions clear following the Champions League final loss to PSG last weekend, stating they must recruit effectively to retain their Premier League crown next term and progress further towards claiming their maiden European trophy.
Josh Kroenke, son of Arsenal’s billionaire owner Stan Kroenke, has reinforced that determination in recent weeks. And according to reports, he could provide the Gunners with funds potentially surpassing last summer’s record £250million spend in a bid to sustain their achievements via smart moves. Morgan Rogers’ transfer stance
Morgan Rogers is reportedly willing to depart Aston Villa this summer as speculation continues linking him with an Arsenal switch.
The Gunners are interested in the England World Cup star as they seek to strengthen their attacking ranks, reports the Mirror.
Rogers, 23, has emerged as Villa’s standout performer over recent seasons, meaning they are reluctant to lose the midfielder, particularly given their return to Champions League action next season.
However, in a significant boost to Arsenal’s chances of securing the former Manchester City star, The Athletic reports Rogers feels it’s the right time for a new challenge.
Despite this, he isn’t actively seeking a move just yet and Villa could command up to £100m for their star player, indicating that any deal won’t necessarily be straightforward.
Rogers scored 14 goals and registered 12 assists in 54 games in all competitions last season, including 10 strikes and seven assists in the Premier League.
Arsenal close in on teenager
Arsenal are reportedly in discussions to sign teenage sensation Jeremy Monga from Leicester City.
At 16, Monga made his Premier League debut as a 15 year old during his breakout 2024/25 season, making him the second-youngest player to do so after Ethan Nwaneri at the time.
He clocked up 30 appearances across all competitions for the Foxes this term, accumulating more than 1,000 minutes of senior football. Monga has also inked his first professional contract, which will come into effect when he turns 17 in July.
However, it is anticipated he will depart this summer, given Leicester’s demotion to League One.
Arsenal are among several clubs keen on the promising winger, and according to the Evening Standard, they’re believed to have won the race.
They’ve reportedly initiated talks in an attempt to secure his services, though he could set them back between £10m and £15m.
