Police launch pics of man in pyjamas after girl ‘sexually assaulted’ in Birmingham

Police have issued CCTV photos of a man they would like to speak to after an alleged sexual assault in a UK city.

West Midlands Police released two pictures of a man dressed in red and white pyjama bottoms, a blue sweater and green hat. The man also has a bald head. Police said they received reports that a woman was approached by a man who then touched her inappropriately outside Moor Street Station in Birmingham.

The incident was reported shortly before 3pm on April 28. Officers are looking to identify this man and are keen to speak to anyone who might have seen what happened. If you know any more, call 101 quoting crime number 20/229839/26.

Meanwhile, police are appealing for witnesses after two teenage girls were reportedly sexually assaulted during a late-night incident in Nottingham city centre.

Nottinghamshire Police have stated that the incidents are believed to have occurred around 11pm on Thursday, June 4.

A cordon was established in Norfolk Place, with the alleged sexual assaults thought to have taken place in the Old Market Square area of Nottingham city centre.

The teenagers are now receiving support from specialist officers, while detectives continue to collaborate with them to investigate the reports, according to a statement from the force.

Detective Inspector Beth Sheard, from Nottinghamshire Police’s Public Protection unit, has issued a public appeal following the incident.

Anyone with information is strongly encouraged to contact the force to assist the investigation, reports the Mirror.

She stated: “We know that these incidents are very concerning and I would like to reassure the victims and the wider public that we are doing everything we can to investigate these reports.

“Our investigation is now underway and I urge anyone who has any information to call Nottinghamshire Police immediately.”
