Thomas Tuchel’s side don’t start their World Cup campaign until next Wednesday, when they clash with Croatia in Arlington, Texas. However, keen to get his side up to scratch, Tuchel watched over his side in another friendly.

Ngumoha isn’t part of the German’s World Cup squad, but was jetted stateside by Tuchel to supplement the team. As he wasn’t included in the initial 55-man squad if an injury strikes Ngumoha won’t be called up.

According to reports, Marc Guehi and Kobbie Mainoo also impressed for the Three Lions. The clash is said to have happened at England’s West Palm Beach base in Florida.

Tuchel’s side had been adjusting to the heat in Florida before travelling to Kansas City, where they will will be based for the remainder of the tournament.

They will train at Swope Soccer Village, the home of Sporting KC’s reserve team and academy, to the southeast of the city.

Described as “state of the art”, the village has hosted Manchester United, Manchester City and both the US Men’s and Women’s national teams in the past.

However, there have been concerns from the FA that the training ground in Kansas City lacks privacy and they will try to erect protective fences to guard against the team being spied on by rivals.
