Not France or Spain – psychic who ‘forecast 2026 struggle’ offers two international locations to win World Cup

EXCLUSIVE: Psychic Angela Kuschel may have hinted at bad news for England with her prediction, which included a suggestion that injury could impact “a big team”

A self-proclaimed “natural born” psychic has suggested that two unexpected nations could be in with a shot of clinching the FIFA World Cup 2026. Angela Kuschel, a psychic and paranormal investigator, made the prediction as part of her outlook for the remainder of 2026, covering everything from politics to natural disasters.

Excitement is mounting as football fans worldwide prepare to watch 48 teams go head-to-head when the tournament kicks off in Mexico on 11 June. The largest ever competition will comprise 103 matches in total, culminating in the World Cup final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19.

England and Scotland are set to play their opening matches this month. England, in Group L, will face Croatia in Dallas on Wednesday, 17 June, at 9pm, while Scotland will take on Haiti on Sunday, 14 June, at 2am.

However, Angela’s predictions may not bode well for England. When asked to share her World Cup forecasts, she told Express.co.uk: “Don’t underestimate Croatia and Paraguay. Looks like an injury(s) is going to affect one of the big teams like Brazil.”

England have only won the prestigious trophy once – back in 1966 – and they’re up against tough opposition again this year. Current holders Argentina, along with Euro 2024 champions Spain, are among the favourites.

Neither of the countries highlighted by Angela, owner of Angie’s Spiritual Readings, have previously won the tournament. Croatia made it to the final in 2018, where they were defeated by France, while Paraguay are making their first World Cup appearance since 2010.

Spain is reportedly the bookmakers’ favourite, followed by France, England, Brazil, Argentina, Portugal and Germany. Regarding the Golden Boot, bookies favour France striker Kylian Mbappe, followed by England captain Harry Kane, Erling Haaland, Lionel Messi, and Lamine Yamal.

This comes amid reports that people displaying flags in support of teams could face penalties of up to £2,500 if they fail to comply with specific regulations. Should they be secured to the roof, flags of any size can be shown without risking a penalty (if safe and clean).

Additional regulations outlined by The Town and Country Planning Regulations (2007) specify the dimensions of flags if displayed elsewhere. Flags must not exceed two metres, even when flown on a flagpole.

Anyone who ignores a local council request to remove an offending flag could face a penalty of up to £2,500. They might also be struck with a daily charge until it is removed – reportedly up to £250 per day.

This emerges as a Brazilian mystic dubbed the “Living Nostradamus” revealed his own forecasts for the eagerly awaited tournament. Speaking in comments shared by LADbible, Athos Salomé alluded to “colours of fire”.

He said: “I see heavy, deep, dominant colours. Colours of fire. It is an energy of heat, friction and intense force. The national sides that survive this tournament will be those wrapped in the colours of flame.”

Athos didn’t name the countries in question, but speculation has surfaced regarding the potential candidates. Some of the sides that sport colours that could conceivably match the description include Spain, Portugal, and England’s away kit.
