Ibiza Final Boss warns Jordan McCann ‘do not let the hair idiot you’ forward of Misfits battle

The Ibiza Final Boss is out to prove he can throw shapes in the boxing ring as well as on the dance floor.

The 27-year-old – real name Jack Kay – became a viral sensation last summer thanks to his antics on the party island. Kay’s swagger coupled with his blunt bowl cut, chunky gold chain and pearly whites saw him transformed into a social media star.

He quickly amassed a huge online following – and an even bigger pay cheque – as he cashed in on his overnight success. The Geordie lad will be a mainstay on the White Isle again this season – but only after he makes his boxing debut. And speaking to our sister title All Out Fighting, he laid bare his remarkable story.

Kay has joined influencer fighting outfit Misfits Boxing – which is run by Britain’s Got Talent judge KSI. He will take on rapper Jordan McCann on the undercard of Tommy Fury’s bizarre bout with former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall on Saturday night.

And he has warned his rival: Don’t be fooled by my looks. “It’s been a crazy year, to have gone from an average Joe to being in the limelight, and now I’m fighting on one of the biggest cards of the year and I’m buzzing,” he said.

“I love boxing and I love fighting so I’m going to make a career of this. I’ve signed a multi-fight deal, not just one fight, this is going to be a career change.

“I used to do a bit of training when I was younger and I had a few fights but when you get older you get into other things and boxing went on the back burner.

“Not many people get an opportunity like this and I’m confident in myself and in what I can do. Boxing is probably the hardest sport in the world and it’s not for the faint-hearted.

“There are many times training has been been tough but I’ve just powered through. I’ve put my head down and focused and I’m ready to go.

“Don’t let the hair and the beard fool you, I can fight and I’m going to show that. I’m going to prove a lot of people wrong.” Kay found time between training sessions to return to the scene of his viral moment earlier this year.

And he plans to flit between the nightclub and the gym for the foreseeable future. “I went back to Ibiza for the opening parties, just to show my face. It felt like I’d never left,” he added.

“And I’ll be going back straight after the fight, the jet will be waiting. I’ve got a few plans in Europe so I’ll be travelling for seven or eight weeks then it will be back to the drawing board for the next fight.

“Imagine headlining an event in Ibiza… that would be sick.”
