World Cup’s ‘worst pitch invader’ as fan tackled by safety earlier than ft hit the bottom
A World Cup fans has been dubbed the ‘worst pitch invader ever’ after his attempt to disrupt the final moments of USA’s win over Paraguay ended pretty much instantly at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles

The FIFA World Cup has only just got underway and the tournament already has it’s first pitch invader…well kind of. The fan in question is being dubbed the “worst pitch invader ever” after not even making it over the pitch lines as he USA kicked off their campaign with a major victory in Los Angeles.
As former Arsenal youngster Folarin Balogun scored twice in the to USA’s 4-1 victory over Paraguay, one fan ended the evening being escorted from the SoFi Stadium in embarrassing fashion as he attempted and failed to invade the pitch.
Just as the USA scored their fourth goal, the unknown fan was spotted already over the railing on a ledge between the stand and a short drop to pitch level.
But as he took his time to make his move, the mass of security below were getting more and more ready for his attempt.
In footage shared from streamers and fans inside the stadium, the man can be seen pacing up and down the ledge while holding the ball. He was waiting for an opportunity to jump down but his waiting just prompted more and more security to close the gap.
In the footage, one fan tells at him: “You f****** idiot” as another shouts “you dumb***”.
The man then finally made his daring jump straight into the arms of security officials, who took him straight down to the ground in a second.
His attempt was not only ridiculed by people in the stadium but it also gained the attention of those on social media.
One joked: “Security tackled him faster than any striker tonight.”
Another added: “Literally just jumped in the middle of everyone.. guy just wanted a lifetime ban.”
A third wrote: “Imagine paying $2000 for a ticket, + fines & bail, only to get arrested and banned for life and not even coming close to invading the pitch. Fail on all levels.”
A fourth commented: “Even security didn’t need to try that hard.”
Some fans also allege that the man himself is a streamer and the pitch invasion was a planned stunt.
