Teen actor and two associates killed in horror pile-up as autos erupt into fireball

A teenage actress was tragically among three young people who lost their lives in a horrific multi-vehicle crash. The catastrophic pile-up, involving two cars and a minibus, took place around 11pm on Tuesday (June 23).
Following the collision, two of the vehicles were consumed by fire, with some passengers trapped inside. Gamze Saklı was reportedly thrown from the vehicle onto the Black Sea Coastal Road in the Limanköy area of Çayeli, Turkey.
The 19-year-old sadly died at the scene. Two other young people, identified as 22-year-old Selinay Saral and 23-year-old Nilay Bilgin, also perished in the accident.
The three victims were reportedly close mates. At least four others sustained injuries, three of them serious, according to reports.
Some were transported to a hospital in nearby Rize, where they are currently receiving medical attention. The collision reportedly occurred after one driver lost control, struck a lamppost on the central reservation, and then veered into the opposite lane.
The car collided head-on with a second car, which was subsequently rear-ended by the minibus, as reported by NeedToKnow.
Gamze was an actor and most recently had a supporting role in the 2025 TV series “Gözleri Karadeniz”.
The fictional drama, set in Turkey’s Black Sea region, revolves around a family power struggle and romantic plotline. Gamze was laid to rest in her hometown of Sırt village, Çayeli, yesterday (June 24).
One mate posted online: “Rest in peace, beautiful girl. May your soul rest in light.”
A probe into the accident is currently ongoing.
