Woman admits smuggling full bottle of Pinot Grigio into jail inside her vagina

The Michigan woman had been caught concealing a full, unopened bottle of Pinot Grigio wine inside her vagina as she was being processed into jail, after being arrested for trespassing at a CVS pharmacy

An inmate has confessed to smuggling a full bottle of Pinot Grigio into prison… via her vagina.

Last month Monique Megchiani devised a shocking scheme to smuggle the bottle of booze into prison – and the method was absolutely revolting. While being processed into custody, the Michigan woman was found to have hidden a “stolen, unopened bottle of Cupcake Vineyards Pinot Grigio inside her vagina”, according to investigators.

Megchiani, 48, was charged with attempting to smuggle contraband into a correctional facility as a consequence of her bizarre methods of trying to enjoy herself behind bars.

Appearing on Wednesday in Circuit Court, Megchiani copped to a felony contraband count that carries a maximum five-year prison sentence. In return for her guilty plea, prosecutors have agreed to drop several other charges, the Smoking Gun reports.

The woman had been arrested in May for trespassing at a CVS pharmacy in Grand Traverse, a shop from which she had been banned. According to police reports, she turned up at the premises on May 9 and allegedly nicked wine, which she knocked back in the store’s toilet.

After being hospitalised due to “high intoxication”, Megchiani was discharged from a local medical centre and “immediately returned” to CVS on May 10.

There, officers discovered her at the checkout counter for “trespassing on property again.”

At the time, the arresting officer was unaware that “Megchiani stole another bottle of Cupcake Pinot Grigio and hid the bottle on her person.”

Megchiani was handcuffed and escorted into the back seat of a police car. This process proved rather challenging: “During this time, Megchiani advised that she was not able to get into the vehicle,” the report read.

“After some convincing, Megchiani was able to slowly manoeuvre herself into the backseat.”

While being processed into jail, Megchiani underwent a “final check” by a female corrections deputy, as per a Traverse City Police Department report.

During this inspection, it was discovered that “it was learned that Megchiani had concealed a bottle of Cupcake Vineyards Pinot Grigio inside her person.”

Megchiani grudgingly obeyed the deputy’s command to extract the wine from its hiding place. The screw-top vessel “was removed and was still intact,” police noted.

“The evidence was destroyed, due to biohazard concerns.”

The Smoking Gun has reported that Megchiani has previously been employed as an associate counsellor at a substance abuse treatment centre in Michigan, where she assists individuals “through the critical stages of detox from illicit drugs and alcohol abuse”.
