UK’s ‘alien capital’ revealed as motive why you are extra prone to get kidnapped defined
Cambridge has been dubbed the UK’s “alien capital” after a new analysis of police UFO reports found it logged the most sightings per head, with an estimated 0.25% lifetime chance of an “encounter”
Alien abductions aren’t unique to Hollywood, or the US for that matter. In fact, extraterrestrial danger lurks a lot closer than you might think.
According to a shocking new analysis, Cambridge tops the ranking of UFO sightings, making it the UK’s “ alien capital”. Moreover, Cambdrige reportedly logged more UFO sightings than any other UK city.
This means that if you find yourself in Silicon Fen, you are at greater risk of being abducted by an alien than any other places in the country. With 19 recorded reports of alien encounters, which scales to 153 reports per million residents, you have a 0.25% lifetime chance of an encounter with an extraterrestrial being.
To put these numbers into perspective, Cambridge’s rate of 153 sightings per million residents dwarfs that of London, which recorded a mere 11 sightings per million. UFO Identified data via over 50 FOI requests to UK police forces were scrutinised by CSB, a platform that analyses odds, which ranked 25 UK cities using.
Cambridge’s high UFO sighting count is attributed to the flat Fenland geography, which offers vast, unobstructed sky views across eastern England. Furthermore, the city’s academic research culture encourages residents to formally document, rather than ignore, unusual aerial phenomena.
“The university research culture likely means unusual things get documented,” CSB shared. In other extraterrestrial news, Brit UFO investigator Mark Christopher Lee has claimed aliens could make first contact with humans at the World Cup.
The renowned documentary filmmaker made the prediction after analysing UFO activity linked to football stadiums and major tournaments, the Daily Star previously reported. Lee, whose docs The King of UFOs, God Versus Aliens, and UFO Encounters of the 5th Kind have earned global acclaim, said extraterrestrials may use the football fest to reveal themselves to the world for the first time.
Lee said with billions watching the World Cup live the timing “aligns eerily” with “escalating UFO disclosures and “recent Pentagon file releases” under US President Donald Trump.
He said there was a “documented history of bizarre UFO-soccer intersections” that “suggest extraterrestrials have long had a curious interest in the world’s beautiful game” – including one incident when a spaceship stopped play.
Lee said: “With the 2026 tournament kicking off amid unprecedented transparency from the US Government we may be days or weeks away from the moment the world has been waiting for – live disclosure before the largest global audience in human history.”
