‘Kylie Jenner lookalike’ claims she failed driving check 5 instances as a result of she is ‘too hot’
An influencer dubbed ‘the Brazilian Kylie Jenner’ claims her driving examiners repeatedly made comments about her looks during her tests
A glam influencer, whose fans have dubbed the ‘Brazilian Kylie Jenner’, claims she struggled to get her driving licence because she is ‘too attractive.’
Julia Medeiros, 24, took a total of five attempts to pass her test in her native Brazil and claims her driving examiners would often make remarks about her looks.
Julia, who now lives in Miami, told The Daily Mail that she had been nervous and ‘made mistakes’ while driving, but says test officials did not help matters by commenting on her appearance.
The model, who boasts a whopping 1.1 million followers on Instagram alone, said: “The first time, it was anxiety. I got nervous, made mistakes and failed. I started questioning whether my appearance was influencing the way I was being judged. I can’t prove anything, but it felt like people were paying less attention to my driving and more attention to me.”
She claims that testers could not help but comment on her looks, and would ask if she was a celebrity because of them.
Examples of remarks allegedly included: “You look too glamorous to be here today” and “You look like an actress or model.”
While owning up to making a couple of mistakes, Medeiros says she is conflicted over whether these were caused by her bad driving or her good looks.
“I can’t say those comments changed the outcome because I have no way of proving that,” she said.
“But when you fail once, you blame yourself. When it happens five times, you start replaying everything in your head, including the comments people made.”
“I might genuinely have been a bad driver back then,” she said. “But after failing five times, I started to wonder whether people were paying more attention to me than to the way I was driving.”
“When something keeps happening over and over again, you naturally start looking for explanations,” she said. “I’ll never know for sure, but it definitely crossed my mind that my appearance may have played a role.”
