Singer Taylor Swift is getting hitched to NFL legend Travis Kelce this week and the pair, who got together in 2023, have been described as a ‘supercouple’.

But over the years the 36-year-old American has dated a string of stars, often writing songs about her relationships. Here James Moore takes a Swiftie look back at her previous dating history…

Joe Jonas : Aged 18, Taylor dated the Jonas Brothers singer in 2008.

The American, now 36, broke up with her in a 27-second phone call and inspired the song Forever and Always on her album Fearless.

She described the break-up as “tough” but they later became pals.

Taylor Lautner : Taylor met her namesake in 2009, on the set of the movie Valentine’s Day in which they both starred.

But she soon split with The Twilight Saga actor, penning the song Back to December about him. Now a friend, he’s even been in one of her videos.

John Mayer : Linked in 2009, when she was 19 and he was 32, Taylor had a brief romance with the US singer and they recorded a song together.

But the pair broke up in 2010. She’s believed to have written the track Dear John about their relationship, which he said left him feeling “humiliated”.

Jake Gyllenhaal : Getting together with the Brokeback Mountain actor in October 2010, the couple were pictured arm in arm in New York but soon split, reportedly over the phone.

Taylor is reckoned to have based her song All Too Well from her Red album on their romance.

Conor Kennedy : In July 2012, Taylor, 22, began dating the 18-year-old son of politician Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

They spent time at the Kennedy family home in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, before going their separate ways at the end of the summer.

Harry Styles : Taylor started seeing the British One Direction hunk in November that year after they met an awards ceremony.

The couple were snapped in New York’s Central Park Zoo, but ended it all in January 2013, reportedly after a bust up. It’s thought he inspired her song Style.

Calvin Harris : She met the Scottish DJ at another awards bash in 2015 and the duo dated for 15 months before a messy break-up played out over social media.

Afterwards he insisted they still enjoyed a “huge amount of love and respect”.

Tom Hiddleston : Taylor had a summer romance with The Night Manager star in 2016.

She was photographed kissing the Brit on a beach near her Rhode Island home and he was later seen wearing an ‘I HEART TS’ top.

After the split, Hiddleston said they’d had the “best time.”

Joe Alwyn : The singer started seeing the British actor in 2017, keeping the romance low-profile in London.

They penned songs together and he appeared in her documentary Miss Americana, before they finally split in 2023.
