Mexico legend’s spouse turns heads in outfit forward of England World Cup conflict

Legendary goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa’s wife will be cheering on Mexico when England arrive at the Azteca for their World Cup last-16 clash

Mexico legend Guillermo Ochoa is dreaming of signing off his incredible international career with one last World Cup fairy tale and he’ll have his stunning partner by his side.

The veteran goalkeeper, 40, has already confirmed he will retire from professional football after this summer’s tournament in North America. But before calling time on his legendary Mexico career, Ochoa has continued to rewrite the record books. He is appearing at a record-equalling sixth tournament – a feat also achieved by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo – and became his country’s oldest-ever World Cup player after making an emotional substitute appearance in a 3-0 group stage victory over the Czech Republic.

Ochoa, affectionately nicknamed ‘Memo’, struggled to hold back the tears as the passionate Azteca Stadium crowd chanted his name while he replaced starting keeper Raul Rangel for his 153rd international cap.

He kissed both goalposts before taking a knee at the final whistle, with his Mexico team-mates then throwing him into the air in celebration as the capacity crowd roared on in approval.

But while the evergreen stopper has been making history on the pitch, it was his stunning wife who stole the spotlight in the stands. Blonde bombshell Karla Mora turned heads with her stylish look as she joined friends and family to cheer El Tri on into the knockout stages.

The 40-year-old model appeared glamorous in her Mexico top as she watched from the sidelines. After the match, she took to social media to share some intimate snaps from the night and pay tribute to her husband.

“What a magic, perfect night!” she wrote. “We are leaving with our hearts full of love and peace. It’s such an incredible feeling that I cannot put into words. I just want to say thank you for that beautiful finale…and come on Mexico, we’re going to go far!”

Away from the football, Karla regularly keeps her 339,000 Instagram followers updated with eye-catching snaps from her life. These vary from heart-warming trips away with her family to lucrative endorsement deals.

Just days before Ochoa’s final World Cup farewell, she wowed fans by posting a series of photos from a beach getaway, posing in a red crop top and matching skirt while showing off her toned figure.

She met her future husband during his three-year spell with French side Ajaccio before the couple tied the knot in Ibiza in 2017. They have three children together – Lucciana, Guillermo and Karla – with the latter two named after their parents.

Karla Snr. is expected to be back in the stands on Sunday evening when Mexico lock horns with England at the Azteca in a mouth-watering last-16 tie.

The Three Lions booked their place with a 2-0 victory over DR Congo thanks to a Harry Kane brace, while co-hosts Mexico cruised past Ecuador to set up the blockbuster clash.

Mexico boasts an extraordinary record at the Azteca, which sits 2,240 metres above sea level, having suffered just two defeats in 89 competitive matches there since 1966.

England will also be hoping to banish ghosts of the past, with the iconic stadium the sight of Diego Maradona’s infamous ‘Hand of God’ goal in 1986.
