Nigel Farage stay: Rattled Reform chief to make sudden ‘assertion on future in public life’ after funds scandal

Westminster is awash with speculation over what Nigel Farage will say, but at this stage we just don’t know.
What we do know is he has grown increasingly rattled in recent months, snapping at reporters when they asked questions about his £5million gift from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne, telling LBC it was “none of their business’, and he could “spend it on Ferraris” if he wanted.
This came after he changed his explanation over the donation twice, first saying it was for his security, then that it was a reward for Brexit.
His anger continued today following questions over his latest financial scandal, as the Reform UK boss raged at Sky News for asking questions. In that conversation, he claimed his family had been harassed, and refused to answer questions.
Reform previously accused the Sunday Times, who first reported the George Cottrell donations, of being a Labour newspaper.
This press conference could be a move to reframe the narrative, changing it from “why did Nigel Farage not declare the money”, to claiming the constant questions over his finances are an establishment attempt to hurt Reform.
