Jude Bellingham damage worries emerge in new England World Cup footage after Norway win
Jude Bellingham sparked injury concerns with his actions in the dramatic World Cup quarter-final victory over Norway
Injury worries surrounding Jude Bellingham have emerged after he was spotted clutching his shoulder during and following England’s victory over Norway. Bellingham netted both goals in England’s 2-1 quarter-final triumph over Norway, though there are suggestions he may have worsened a previous injury.
The 23-year-old sat out Real Madrid’s opening four La Liga fixtures in the 2025/26 campaign following surgery on his shoulder last summer and could still be experiencing discomfort from the problem.
The initial sign of potential pain occurred during a drinks break, with footage showing Bellingham applying pressure to that region while in conversation with Tuchel.
After the final whistle, he was also seen stretching before addressing journalists in the mixed zone. Spanish publication Diario AS continued filming Bellingham as he made his way to the microphones, with the attacking midfielder subsequently grasping at his shoulder blade.
Bellingham has displayed no indication that the injury is hampering him thus far at the World Cup, and hit new heights on Saturday, taking his tournament tally to six goals with his magnificent double against Norway.

Despite his heroics, a tetchy exchange between him and Thomas Tuchel during separate television interviews has captured the headlines. The latter had branded his team’s display as “sloppy, lucky” and not good enough in “every sense”.
Bellingham was then informed of Tuchel’s remarks with the England star disagreeing and hitting back. He said: “Yeah, well. Whatever, whatever. It’s difficult out there. It’s a tough shift. All the players are putting in a very tough shift. My thoughts and appreciation goes to the players who were out there and put in a great shift yet again.
“Maybe he doesn’t know what it is like to play in those kind of conditions against Erling Haaland, Martin Odegaard, Antonio Nusa and Alexander Sorloth. That’s not an easy team to play against.”
Bellingham is arguably at his peak when performing on the edge and with a touch of cockiness. Given his displays abroad so far, it’s evident that Tuchel is extracting the finest from him with this clash unlikely to create a divide between the pair.
For the Three Lions to secure a World Cup final spot, Bellingham will almost certainly need to be at his finest with Argentina confirmed as their opponents in the semi-finals following their extra-time victory over Switzerland.
