Jude Bellingham ‘slaps’ Argentina star in row as England dumped out of World Cup
England and Argentina continued to clash after the full-time whistle when Jude Bellingham appeared to slap full-back Valentin Barco
Jude Bellingham’s frustrations appeared to boil over after England were dumped out of the World Cup when cameras picked up on his seemingly slapping Valentin Barco.
Barco had been arm-in-arm with Lautaro Martinez and Julian Alvarez when Bellingham made his way over to the trio. The Real Madrid star reached out appeared to slap Barco around the back of the head, leading to a furious reaction.
The full-back spun around and squared up to Bellingham, causing the latest flash point in a clash that had been threatening to spill over from the first minute.
“Bellingham a bum. What’s he smacking Barco on the head for,” one fan fumed on social media.
“Bellingham went to slap Barco during Argentina celebration. Pathetic, sore, loser,” a second said. While a third shared: “Bellingham is very stupíd for slapping Barco in the head like that Is he the one that asked you lots to bottle the game?”
And another added: “Look at whiny Bellingham after disappearing the whole match, taking a swing at Colo Barco after Argentina’s victory!”
