‘Sex attacker’ chased off by pack of canine after he ‘jumped on two girls’ in broad-daylight
Police are hunting for a man whose attempts to sexually assault two women were thwarted by their loyal dogs

A pack of hero hounds chased off a suspected sex attacker after he allegedly jumped out at two women and grabbed one.
Incredible footage of the ordeal was captured as the pack of dogs pursued the suspect wearing a large blue backpack and a grey hoodie. The man stumbles away from the animals and the video ends with the hooded figure fleeing underneath a bridge as the chaos came to an end. The incident occurred in broad-daylight in Kooyong, Melbourne, Australia, on Tuesday (July 14).
The two woman said they were strolling along the Gardiners Creek while walking their eight dogs when a man jumped out from the bushes and grabbed them. The first woman the man allegedly grabbed broke free, leading the man to turn his focus on the other.

The second woman also managed to fight the man off, leading him to turn and run. During the fray the woman’s dogs allegedly turned on the attacker – resulting in him fleeing the scene beneath the Monash Freeway.
Footage recorded by one of the women showed six dogs chasing after the man whilst barking and nipping at him as he tried to flee. During the footage a dog, believed to be a Blue Heeler, can be seen jumping up to bite the suspect, ripping his trousers during the chase.

The man can be heard yelling at the dogs before he eventually escaped. Police are now probing the suspected sexual assault.
The man accused of launching the attack has been described as being African in appearance. He was also said to have been wearing a black tracksuit, grey hooded top, white socks and slides, and carrying a large bright blue backpack.
Police have urged members of the public to come forward and help if they possess any information surrounding the incident.
