Boy, 3, dies after falling into pond as emergency companies swarm the scene

A three-year-old lad tragically lost his life after falling into a pond on Saturday night. Emergency services rushed to a property on Brownmoor Lane in Crosby following reports that a young boy had tumbled into a pond.
Both Merseyside Police and the North West Ambulance Service responded to the incident, and the child was rushed to hospital where he sadly passed away. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Officers are providing ongoing support to the devastated family of the little boy, and investigations continue to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed: “We can confirm that emergency services were called to an address on Brownmoor Lane in Crosby on Saturday evening (July 18) following a report a three-year-old boy had fallen into a pond.
“The North West Ambulance Service and police attended and the child was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment where he was sadly pronounced deceased.”, reports the Liverpool Echo.
“Our officers continue to support the family and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened.”
Meanwhile, a London bus driver had to head back to the depot after finding a frightened monkey left behind by its owner.
The common marmoset was found on a 302 bus in Kensal Rise just before 11.45am on Friday morning (July 17).
According to the RSPCA, a mother reportedly boarded the bus with her pushchair but struggled to navigate the aisle due to a laundry bag protruding from the luggage bay.
When the driver assisted and began moving the bag aside, the monkey started chirping and jumping.
Upon this discovery, the driver looked into the bag and found an abandoned monkey, leading to their decision to return to the Willesden depot and contact the RSPCA.
