Real Madrid have reportedly struck a deal in principle to sign RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande.

Los Blancos have reached an agreement to sign the Ivory Coast international, having finally found common ground with the Bundesliga outfit, according to the radio station talkSPORT.

Martin Demichelis’ side had been holding out for a fee in the region of £100m for the 19-year-old, who only arrived in Germany last summer.

Liverpool, Arsenal and PSG had been monitoring the winger, with Andoni Iraola’s side investigating a potential move earlier this summer.

However, the Reds were reluctant to meet the German club’s valuation, with an £85m offer rejected and no follow-up bid submitted.

Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain had agreed personal terms with Diomande, yet failed to meet Leipzig’s asking price.

Real, now managed by former Chelsea, Man United and Spurs boss, Jose Mourinho, saw an £85.4m approach for Diomande knocked back by Leipzig on Friday.

They have now tabled a second offer to advance negotiations and bring Diomande to the Spanish capital.

Discussions over the precise structure of the transfer are being finalised, with Diomande understood to have committed to a five-year contract with Los Blancos.

When quizzed about his future during the World Cup, Diomande stated: “I expect to leave, of course. I have an agent who will manage the rest.

“But the most important thing right now is to be focused on the World Cup with my country and make history with them.”

Iraola’s team have been tipped to make a move for PSG winger Bradley Barcola in recent days, but PSG are reluctant to part ways with the French international without securing a suitable replacement.

Potential suitors, including Arsenal, have been quoted a staggering £145m to secure Barcola’s services this summer, with Ligue 1 club eager to retain him at the Parc des Princes.
