Meghan Markle has been slammed by a royal expert who labelled her decision to post a photograph of her children at Princess Diana’s former home as a “vulgar act.”
The Duchess of Sussex shared an image on her Instagram account depicting Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet wandering through the grounds of Princess Diana’s childhood residence, Althorp Estate. In the snap, Archie was seen holding a bouquet of flowers, leading many to speculate that the siblings were visiting the late Princess of Wales at her resting place.
Her decision to share the photo sparked widespread backlash online, with numerous individuals expressing their disappointment at the estranged royal. It has also been suggested that she has not only angered the general public, but Prince William too.

Maureen Callahan, a Daily Mail columnist renowned for her insights on the British Royal Family, penned a blistering opinion piece about the incident.
She proposed that Meghan may have posted the image as “an act of defiance,” especially considering that no photos were reportedly allowed during Harry and Meghan’s meeting with King Charles earlier this month, reports the Express.
Maureen further pointed out that Prince William and his wife, Princess Catherine, have undoubtedly visited Princess Diana’s grave with their three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis – yet no images of such visits have ever been made public. “William and Catherine are decent, serious people who understand that some things are sacred,” Maureen wrote.
“Diana was buried on that island, at her family’s private residence, precisely to keep her gravesite from becoming a circus, a tourist attraction, a commodity.”
The columnist proceeded to lambast Meghan, condemning the publication of the photograph as “vulgar” and “callous,” making parallels to when she posted clips of herself lounging in a vehicle close to where Princess Diana perished, something that allegedly left William “fuming.”
This comes after claims from a source who disclosed that Harry is becoming increasingly frantic for reconciliation, having supposedly been left feeling “estranged” from his family.
“I don’t think [Harry’s] ever wanted to be estranged from his family,” the source said. “I think when he was madly in love with Meghan, he could be blind enough to choose her. Now things are different, and the veil is lifting.”
Last year, it was also claimed that the Duke of Sussex was battling homesickness, with a close mate suggesting he profoundly missed the UK.
One insider close to the Duke revealed to the Standard, “Spike (his nickname among his old school friends) is seriously homesick. He’s started reaching out to us more and more.”
They went on to say, “It started with very long and earnest WhatsApps. We actually all made a decision when we started getting them not to take the p— out of them. Something we couldn’t have imagined doing a few years before. Anyway, gradually, he seems to be sounding more normal.
“Whenever anyone goes to America, they try to see him. It never seems to be with Meghan, though. We think he is beginning to pine for home,” the source concluded.
