Brit vacationer, 62, discovered useless on cruise after ship docks subsequent to Greek island
Police have ruled out any indication of foul play, after the 62-year-old Brit woman was discovered lifeless in her private cabin by staff members when the vessel was docked off Santorini

A Brit cruise passenger was discovered dead inside her cabin while the ship was stationary off the Greek island of Santorini.
Staff who entered her private cabin on Sunday found the 62-year-old dead. Local authorities are now opening up a probe into her death, the Sun reports.
The body was transported by boat off the cruise ship to neighbouring port Athinios in the early hours of the morning. She was rushed to the General Hospital of Thira, where doctors pronounced her officially dead. Thira Port Authority has launched a preliminary investigation into the woman’s tragic passing.
The body is set to be transferred to the Piraeus Forensic Service for an autopsy, with the exact cause of death yet to be officially confirmed.
Cops do not believe there is any indication of foul play, with initial investigations pointing towards a sudden, health-related death.
Authorities are yet to identify the cruise ship by name, but have said it sails under the Marshall Islands flag.

The cruise reportedly set sail again on its normal Aegean Sea route after the woman was transferred to hospital.
Last year a British pensioner tragically died on a cruise ship after he was discovered dead in the swimming pool while the vessel was docked in Naples.
The 83-year-old Scottish gentleman was found in the Marella Voyager’s pool.
Despite desperate attempts by fellow passengers and crew members to revive him, their efforts proved futile.
Following a comprehensive investigation, police ruled out any suggestion of criminal activity, establishing that the elderly gentleman had taken ill whilst in the water.
The cruise ship was subsequently allowed to resume its Mediterranean journey.
Having set off from Majorca on August 16, 2025, the Marella Voyager had called at Sardinia before reaching Naples and is now heading towards Rome, Corsica, Spain, before returning to Majorca, according to the Daily Record.
An FCDO spokesperson commented: “We are supporting the family of a British man who died in Italy.”
