Liam Payne ‘smashed £30k Rolex and punched TV’ in entrance of escorts earlier than dying
One Direction star Liam Payne allegedly smashed a £30,000 Rolex and punched a TV during a chaotic dispute with two sex workers just hours before his fatal hotel fall
One Direction star Liam Payne allegedly flew into a booze and drug-fuelled rage shortly before his death, according to statements from two sex workers who were with him. The 31-year-old singer fell 46ft from a third-floor balcony at a Buenos Aires hotel on October 16, 2024.
Hours after the fatal plunge, escorts Aldana Serrano and Lucila Goitea provided official testimony detailing the pop star’s final moments. Legal documents obtained by the Mail on Sunday paint a harrowing picture of the millionaire musician’s last few hours alive.
The two women said they were summoned to the CasaSur Palermo Hotel on the morning of his death, where they engaged in consensual sex with the star. Tensions flared inside the room when the £21m-valued star struggled to settle their agreed $5,000 (£3,700) fee due to a lack of physical cash.
An enraged Liam allegedly smashed his £30,000 gold Rolex watch, bragging he could easily replace it, before landing three heavy blows on the hotel room’s television set.
After the violent outburst, the emotional singer reportedly dropped to his knees, begging the women to stay and confessing that wealth brought him no joy.
According to the pair, a drunken Liam serenaded them with his own hit songs before attempting to procure cocaine.
Subsequent toxicology reports confirmed a mix of cocaine, alcohol and the heavy sedative Klonopin in his system at the time of the fall.
Two men, hotel worker Ezequiel Pereyra, 22, and waiter Braian Paiz, 26, have been charged with supplying the narcotics and face trial.
Both men, who spent months behind bars before being granted bail, deny the allegations. Liam had originally landed in the Argentine capital 16 days before to deal with his US visa renewal.
He spent the first fortnight alongside his girlfriend Kate Cassidy and Argentine businessman Rogelio ‘Roger’ Nores, 38, remaining sober throughout that period.
However, after Cassidy returned to Miami on October 14 and Nores departed, the star suffered a devastating relapse.
He was initially kicked out of the five-star Park Hyatt following an angry, alcohol-fuelled confrontation with staff that left his room damaged. Liam then checked into the four-star CasaSur Palermo, where he reached out to the two women.
Investigators treated both women as vital witnesses. They revealed Liam initiated contact via WhatsApp after he found one of their profiles online.
To convince them he was actually the One Direction heartthrob, the singer sent bedroom selfies and a video confirming his identity. They arrived at the venue around 11.30am, handed their ID to reception, and went upstairs.
With Liam speaking only English and the women speaking Spanish, they relied entirely on translation software to communicate. Initial payment attempts via international wire transfer failed.
One of the women said: “During our time there, we had sex with him, which was consensual sex, only once, and he wore protection.”
After roughly two hours, the pair pressed again for their $5,000 (£3,700) payment. Liam allegedly tried handing over his £30,000 gold watch instead.
One of the women said: “We told him we only wanted money so he took it and smashed it. He told us he didn’t care about the money.
And then he broke the TV, he punched it. He made us understand that he could smash everything because he knew he could pay for it.”
Unnerved, the women headed to the lobby, notifying hotel staff about the broken television and the unpaid fee. Liam trailed behind them, frantically pacing back and forth between the foyer and his third-floor room.
When the women briefly went back upstairs to retrieve left-behind belongings, one said: “He apologised for giving us a bad time.”
They finally left the premises shortly before 4pm, leaving an erratic Liam behind. Just over an hour later, at 5.07 pm, the singer fell to his death.
