A celebrity chef has claimed he was “possessed” by the ghosts of two dead soldiers while serving in the army. Yoon Nam-no, from South Korea, insisted his terrifying ordeal was “absolutely true”.
The Netflix star, known to fans as “Cooking Maniac” from hit series Culinary Class Wars, shared the bizarre tale in a newly released talk show on YouTube.
The interview, featuring Yoon and fellow chef Park Eun-young, went live on Monday (August 3) on YouTube channel “Studio Slam” in an episode titled “Yoon Nam-no Plan”.
The pair chatted through personal stories over a meal when Yoon dropped his chilling confession. He said: “It’s absolutely true.

“I served in the military in Lebanon. As a cook, I received training specific to my specialty.”
But what should have been routine quickly turned into a two-month nightmare, Star News Korea reported. Yoon said he became seriously unwell throughout the entire specialised training programme, with symptoms so strange even medics couldn’t explain them.

He recalled: “The training lasted two months, and I was sick throughout that entire period. I rarely get nosebleeds, but I started bleeding from my nose, my eyes became bloodshot, and it felt like something was wrong.”
Yoon said he visited the base medical unit, only to be left more frightened after staff failed to find an answer. “When I went to the medical unit, they said they didn’t know what it was,” he said.
He further recalled: “They told me it seemed like a cold, but it wasn’t a typical cold.” Then came the moment that made his skin crawl.

Yoon revealed that one fellow recruit claimed he could see spirits and pulled him aside just two days before he was due to transfer to another region. He said: “At that time, one of my fellow recruits claimed he could see ghosts.
“He told me, ‘You’re being possessed by a ghost right now. But if you leave this place, your health will improve, so please endure it for just a little longer.’
“I was scheduled to transfer to another region two days later.” After training, Yoon moved to Incheon, South Korea, and says everything changed instantly.
“The moment I arrived there, my condition suddenly improved,” he claimed. But his “ghost-seeing” peer had one final explanation.
Yoon said: “According to my fellow recruit, while I was undergoing training, two ghosts were standing on my shoulders.” He added that the spirits were allegedly “two soldiers who had been involved in an unfortunate incident at that military unit” and were “tormenting” him.
“They said they possessed me because I was the easiest target,” Yoon claimed.
