Girl, 9, ‘sexually touched by man at Butlin’s’ as police launch investigation

Lincolnshire Police are probing reports of a nine year old girl being sexually touched at Butlin’s.
Cops were called to the Butlin’s site in Skegness just before 10am on Monday (August 3), following an incident reported to have occurred outside the family’s lodgings.
A man is alleged to have touched the child over her clothing and placed his hand on her face. Officers are now investigating a case of sexual touching.
The man has been described as white and aged between 30 and 40 with dark hair. He was allegedly wearing a green T-shirt at the time, reports Lincolnshire Live.

Lincolnshire Police are currently appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the incident.
A spokesperson for the force said “We are appealing for anyone who was in the area or anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
“Anyone with information is asked to email [email protected], alternatively you can contact the independent charity CrimeStoppers at CrimeStoppers-uk.org or call 0800 555111. Please refer to Incident 104 of August 3.”
In relation to the incident, a Butlin’s spokesperson said: “We’re deeply concerned to hear about this incident on resort.
“As soon as we were made aware we supported the family and have been in direct contact since.
“We’re working with Lincolnshire Police and will further support however we can.”
