Marcus Rashford bold swap deal proposed with Arsenal as Man Utd to obtain star
Marcus Rashford is back at Manchester United after his loan spell at Barcelona ended and has been handed a new squad number, with a former Arsenal defender backing a swap deal

An ambitious swap deal between Arsenal and Manchester United has been proposed – with Marcus Rashford at the centre of the transfer.
Rashford, 28, faces an uncertain future at United – having spent last season out on loan at Barcelona. However, the Catalan giants opted against making his loan spell permanent and he could now be back in the Red Devils’ plans as he was handed a new squad number.
Ex-Arsenal defender Lee Dixon, however, has admitted he’d trade Gunners youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly for Rashford, with the former Premier League defender admitting Mikel Arteta would “be great” for the United forward’s career.

The Gunners themselves are on the lookout for additions up front and, with Lewis-Skelly’s future uncertain due to his place in the pecking order, Dixon has proposed a swap could be a smart move.
Speaking to BestBettingSites, he said: “Would I swap them (Myles Lewis Skelly and Marcus Rashford)? You know what, I probably would. And that’s nothing against Myles Lewis-Skelly; it’s about giving him the freedom to go and expand his game elsewhere,” reports the Mirror.
“With Marcus Rashford, he’s a player who needs an arm around his shoulder, and Arteta would be great for him. Give him that love, give him the freedom to play on that left side, and yeah, I’d like to see him in an Arsenal shirt.

“I have my reservations about whether he’s consistently a top-class player, but based on what Arsenal have in the squad now, he’d be a good addition.”
United’s attack has undergone a transformation since Rashford was sidelined by Ruben Amorim, with Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko all joining the ranks. Amad Diallo also continues to flourish.
The 28-year-old has been associated with a permanent departure on multiple occasions, but is poised to be reintegrated into the squad during pre-season ahead of their Premier League curtain-raiser.
At Arsenal, Lewis-Skelly bounced back from a lacklustre initial few months and ultimately started in the Champions League final. He only began five league matches and was much more frequently deployed in the Champions League by Arteta.
His adaptability makes him a valuable asset and United have been seeking to strengthen their midfield and left-back positions – two roles that Lewis-Skelly can fulfil.
