Liverpool information: PSG boss leaks Bradley Barcola bombshell as ace ‘on the brink’ of switch
Liverpool are still in the market for a new winger this summer and they have been handed a Bradley Barcola bombshell in their pursuit of the superstar
Liverpool’s summer looks set to take a sudden turn for the better after they were handed a Bradley Barcola bombshell after PSG’s Super Cup win on Wednesday evening.
The Parisian giants outclassed Aston Villa in Salzburg – but Bradley Barcola was a notable absentee. The young winger has been linked with a move to Liverpool, and he seemingly took a step closer to Anfield after the full-time whistle.
However, with Barcola’s impending arrival there are two potential departures as Daily Star Sport rounds up all the latest stories from Merseyside from the last 24 hours.

PSG chief drops Bradley Barcola bombshell
PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has handed Liverpool a boost in their pursuit of winger Bradley Barcola by refusing to rule out his departure. The 23-year-old French international remains Liverpool’s top transfer target, but negotiations have stalled over PSG’s £145 million valuation.
Following PSG’s UEFA Super Cup victory over Aston Villa, where Barcola was an unused substitute, Al-Khelaifi admitted he could not guarantee whether the winger would stay or leave.
“We’re working calmly, we don’t talk too much,” Al-Khelaifi told Canal Plus. “I can’t say whether he will leave or not … Today, he is a PSG player. We’ll see.”
The chairman’s comments came after Enrique kept tight-lipped before the match. “I don’t know and I don’t want to speak about any player individually,” the PSG boss stated.
Alexis Mac Allister interest
Liverpool are preparing for approaches regarding Alexis Mac Allister this summer. Galatasaray have registered their interest in signing the 27-year-old, according to reports from Turkey, reports the Mirror.
That interest has so far been communicated through intermediaries to establish a fee and the Argentine’s salary expectations, according to Yeni Asir. But that’s not the full picture.
According to talkSPORT, Manchester City have also placed the World Cup winner on their shortlist as they seek to replace Rodri, who could be heading to Barcelona this summer.
However, the report emphasises that there’s been “no contact or developments” regarding any deal to bring the midfielder to Manchester.
Curtis Jones latest
Sky Italia is also suggesting that Curtis Jones is ‘on the brink’ of signing for Inter Milan.
Inter are nearing the completion of a loan deal for midfielder Davide Frattesi to Lazio, reportedly having reached a verbal agreement with the player, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The journalist reports an £850,000 loan fee, with an £11m option to buy, has been agreed upon, with formalities set to follow. Once that transaction is finalised, it’s thought Inter will proceed with their pursuit of Jones.
Inter have shown considerable interest in the midfielder and are prepared to part with £30m for the 25-year-old, who is entering the final year of his contract at Anfield. It’s understood Liverpool are holding out for a figure closer to £35m for the player.
Jones’ absence from the Monaco pre-season friendly on Sunday sparked curiosity, but Iraola was eager to emphasise that it stemmed from a minor injury concern rather than transfer rumours.
