Manchester United’s summer signing Karl Darlow celebrated his unveiling at Old Trafford alongside his stunning wife Lucy when he landed the best job in football

Karl Darlow has landed the best job in football – being a backup goalkeeper at one of the biggest clubs in the world – and he celebrated the move with his stunning long-term partner.
Darlow signed for Manchester United as a free agent last month after leaving Leeds at the end of his contract. The 35-year-old is vastly experienced and capable of pulling off incredible stops when called upon, making him the perfect addition for Michael Carrick to make.
The former Newcastle and Nottingham Forest stopper has played 74 times in the Premier League and became the Wales No.1 in 2024 after eventually accepting an approach from the Wales FA.

Darlow signed his United terms in July and he was joined at Old Trafford by his wife Lucy and their two sons, who both wore United goalkeeping kits to celebrate the moment.
Lucy, who works in recruiting, has been with Darlow for several years and the two have been snapped together during his time playing for Newcastle and attending awards ceremonies.
Lucy keeps a low social media profile, with her Instagram account private and only accessible to her friends to see.

Darlow’s private life is also hidden on Instagram, with the stopper posting action shots and clips from his on-pitch heroics.
However, both have shared holiday snaps in the past, including shots showing Lucy’s stunning figure and Darlow’s athletic physique.
Upon signing his terms with United, Darlow said: “I am extremely proud to sign for Manchester United.
“I’m joining an excellent group of goalkeepers and I’m really looking forward to all pushing each other to ensure that we maintain the highest standards, which this club demands.

Darlow is expected to be United’s No.2 this season, behind Senne Lammens, who was given the No.1 jersey from his previous No.31, and competing with fellow veteran stopper Tom Heaton.
The Northampton-born stopper has been bumped up the pecking order by the departure of Radek Vitek to Middlesbrough in a £14million move, which saw United negotiate a buy back clause and a sell on clause.
