Nurse sexually abused stepson, 15, on couch and requested him to charge her ‘efficiency’

Alexis Von Yates, 35 is serving a two-year prison sentence after her husband caught her sexually abusing his 15-year-old son on the family sofa after making a ‘horny comment’

A nurse was found having sex with her underage stepson on the sofa – by her husband. Alexis Von Yates, 35, was caught by husband Frank found her with his teenage son in their family home in July 2024.

She was subsequently arrested following an anonymous tip-off and jailed in September 2025, entering a no contest plea to lewd and lascivious battery after her charges were reduced from the original count of sexual battery.

Court records from Marion County also confirm that Yates’ estranged husband has filed for divorce. According to a Marion County arrest warrant, on the night of 26 July 2024, Yates decided to “hang out” with her then-15 year old stepson after putting her two children to bed.

The pair reportedly smoked a THC vape, played video games, and watched films on the living room sofa while Yates’ husband and the boy’s father was working late.

According to court documents, the teenager told police that at approximately 1am, Yates put on a film before seducing him by declaring the movie was boring and expressing how “horny” she was because “she had not had sex in two weeks and she was on her period.”

The two then moved closer together on the sofa and began kissing. Yates allegedly then said: “I wish you were 18, because you’re not old enough,” before she “kicked off” her knickers and the pair engaged in oral sex and intercourse without a condom, the document states.

The affidavit revealed that Frank returned from work to discover his wife and son on the sofa completely naked. Frank allegedly erupted, shouting, “What the f**k is going on?”.

The teenager fled from the house but reportedly overheard Yates telling his dad how much he reminded her of his father in his youth.

The father then drove his son to his grandparents’ home, accusing the boy of having “ruined his life” while drinking beer during the journey, as per the affidavit.

In police interviews, the victim disclosed that he was on holiday and staying with his father for the summer when the sexual incidents occurred. The teenager told police that, in the week leading up to the sexual encounter, Yates would often talk to him about being “horny.”

The documents also alleged that a day after the incident, Yates reached out to the boy, expressing regret that her husband had discovered their secret.

She also asked the victim to rate her sexual performance, to which he replied, “seven out of ten.”

The incident came to the attention of the police through a concerned family member after the boy’s father failed to report it, according to court documents.

Yates was arrested and charged with sexual battery on a person aged 12 to 18. She pleaded not guilty in December 2024 but later changed her plea to no contest to a lesser charge under a revised agreement.

“The family’s desire for Von Yates to do additional time is outweighed by their overall concern for the victim’s mental and emotional health,” prosecutor Shanae Pickens told the judge after the disgraced nurse accepted a plea deal in August.

Under the plea arrangement, Yates was instructed to serve Department of Corrections, followed by two years of community control. She will stay on the sex offender registry for 10 years and has been required to complete 200 hours of community service and to pay fines and court costs.

Last month, the Florida Department of Health permanently revoked her nursing licence following a hearing between the Board of Nursing and Yates’ solicitor, according to Ocala News. Florida health authorities had initially imposed a temporary suspension on her nursing licence back in April of last year.

The licence revocation became permanent after Yates appeared before the Board of Nursing in October and raised no objections to the allegations against her.
