A TalkShow host raised eyebrows by announcing she was “getting shafted” on a golf course by her husband. Shebahn Aherne, 36, posted a snap on Instagram on Sunday (August 31) of her playing golf.

She cheekily captioned it: “Just out here getting shafted by my husband.” Bemused fans commented on the social media photo, asking if it was allowed on the green.

One joked: “And how is the golf going.” Another added: “And the golf club are ok with that???” One particularly crude comment read: “Which hole was his favourite?” She is best known for hosting shows on talkSPORT such as the Weekend Sports Breakfast and the weekday breakfast programmes.

It comes after the broadcaster went viral last month when she accidentally let slip a rather crude word during the live show. Aherne, who was hosting the Weekend Sports Breakfast alongside football legend Tony Cascarino, was reviewing Saturday’s matches when the blunder occurred.

While discussing Middlesbrough, she attempted to mention former Tottenham striker Will Lankshear, who netted twice against West Brom in the Championship.

But she found herself struggling with the pronunciation and things quickly spiralled out of control. She said: “Some of your headlines this morning: Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal with a minimum of 22 million to sign Daniel Muñoz from Crystal Palace. Will Lankshear… Lank… w***… Lankshear!”

Cascarino burst into laughter and simply muttered “oh dear,” while she desperately tried to recover from the gaffe, hoping her producer had “dumped” the moment from the live transmission. But unfortunately, he hadn’t.

She said: “Oh dear. Oh dear, Will. Will Lankshear… scored twice as Middlesbrough beat West Brom Albion at the Riverside Stadium. Sam, did you dump that? He didn’t. Right, okay, good.”

When Cascarino suggested she’d be frustrated if the moment had been cut, she said: “Why’d you dump that? It was only a really offensive swear word!”
