Kylian Mbappé ‘caught up in kidnap plot of stripling, 18, with hit checklist of 26 targets’
Kylian Mbappé was allegedly on a chilling kidnap “hit list” of 26 targets after cops traced a £130k watch heist to an 18-year-old who ran the plot from prison via smuggled phones and Snapchat.

Real Madrid and France superstar Kylian Mbappé was allegedly placed at the centre of a chilling kidnap and extortion plot. It was reportedly masterminded by an 18-year-old gangster from behind bars.
French judicial authorities reportedly say they foiled the scheme after uncovering a digital “hit list” targeting Mbappé and 25 other wealthy figures spanning football, music and big business. The investigation began after a luxury watch robbery in Neuilly-sur-Seine in April, where thieves stole items worth roughly $165,000 (around £130,000).
The investigation eventually traced the plot back to the primary suspect, Clément L., who operated under the alias “Lester Z”. Despite already being locked up for separate offences including pimping and armed robbery, investigators believe the teenager was running a criminal network from his cell using smuggled mobile phones and Snapchat.

When police seized and searched the two phones, they reportedly found a detailed digital target list containing home addresses, personal information and profiles for 26 rich individuals. Mbappé was the most famous name on the list.
The gang also allegedly had its sights set on an unnamed French rap artist, Marca reported. Other targets were said to include “immensely wealthy” private citizens: a major Chinese wholesaler operating in Paris, high-end jewellers, and a millionaire Turkish meat wholesaler.
Clément was officially arrested after leaving a courthouse in Bobigny for a different matter, and charged with organised gang robbery, home invasion and kidnapping plots. He is reportedly being held in solitary confinement and in pretrial detention while investigators assess how far preparations for any abductions had progressed.

In court, the Advocate General said, Le Parisien reported: “This young man was already in prison for serious offenses, and now he is turning up in a new case involving a rapper and a renowned footballer.
“Only solitary confinement in prison can make him understand the reality of the situation, given the chaotic, criminal life he leads.”
Clément’s criminal record includes two convictions for drug-related offences and one for violent robbery, according to Le Parisien. He also reportedly dropped out of school while studying for a vocational qualification in cooking.
“I know the offences are serious,” the young man told the court. He tried to minimise his role, insisting he “was not the mastermind – but merely an intermediary”.
In his defence, he said: “I’m being held in solitary confinement, surrounded by madmen and terrorists, and I don’t think that’s going to improve. I really want to become a chef; it’s been a dream of mine since I was very young.”
