Major practice crash kills one and injures 20 after derailing in horror truck collision

One person has died and several others have been injured following a major train derailment after colliding with a truck at a level crossing in Poland.
The incident occurred in the area Sokolniki Suche at a level crossing and only part of the train reportedly derailed this afternoon (September 9), according to fire officials. It is believed that over 100 people had been on board the train at the time, which had been heading on the Lublin-Szczecin route.
In an earlier statement, the local fire service said: “In the locality of Sokolniki Suche, a collision occurred between a truck and a passenger train at a railway-road crossing. As a result of the incident, part of the train derailed.
“Over 100 people were traveling on the train. Medical triage of the injured was conducted. Four people were handed over to the teams of the State Emergency Medical Service, including two people who were transported by helicopters of the Air Emergency Medical Service.”
