Meghan Markle has shared a snapshot of her new life in the UK with a clip of Prince Harry and their kids in the countryside. She posted the idyllic scenes to her Instagram account on Sunday afternoon and captioned them with Union Jack and heart emojis.

The footage is underscored by Wham’s anthem Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, with the Duke and Duchess seen in an affectionate embrace. Another scene shows Harry and the children on a fishing boat on a little pond.

There’s also a scene in the Boden advert-esque clip where Meghan wears a pair of wellies and stamps in a muddy puddle – a far cry from the scorching temperatures and terrain of California.

The video comes nearly a week after Prince Harry was spotted in public for the first time since the family’s return to the UK.

This follows earlier reports this year that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were making their way back to the UK with their children, who are believed to have started their studies at a new school in the UK this school year.

The Duke of Sussex was photographed looking dapper and cheerful at Tower Bridge Studios in central London.

King Charles has confirmed the couple’s charitable endeavours are a “personal matter” and stated their status in the UK is “akin to private citizens”.

A strongly-worded letter read: “It is well known that in January 2020 the Duke and Duchess stepped down from undertaking representative duties on behalf of The Sovereign, and are no longer working Members of The Royal Family.

“This position, distinct from the State and Royal duties undertaken by the working Royal Family, and with the personal latitude it brings the couple in respect of financial independence and protection of their privacy as they would wish, will continue to be fully respected.

“It follows that there is no change to the current status of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Their styles as His and Her Royal Highness remain in abeyance and are not used.”
