MMA fighters ‘brawled on the street’ and ‘taken to police station’ earlier than official match
Two MMA fighters brawled in the street and were taken to a local police station after they had been sharing a drink hours before they were due to clash

Two MMA fighters brawled in the street just hours after drinking together in a bar, shortly before they were due to face each other in an official fight.
Tolea Ciumac was filmed trading punches with Daniel Ciudin, known professionally as Danu Spartanu, outside a venue in Bucharest, Romania. Stunned onlookers watched as the pair squared up in the street, with several passers-by pulling out their phones to film the clash.
Police say the incident happened on Saturday (September 12) and initially involved both men allegedly attacking each other. But the confrontation then escalated, with Ciumac, 47, allegedly knocking Spartanu to the ground and striking him several times around the head.

The pair were later taken to a police station for questioning, as reported by creatorzine.com. Spartanu did not file a complaint against Ciumac, nor did he attend a medical examination.
Despite this, Ciumac was detained for 24 hours before being remanded in custody for 30 days.
Police said: “Initial checks established that the two men had initially allegedly been involved in a mutual assault, with the conflict subsequently escalating, during which one of them allegedly continued to repeatedly strike the other.”
Spartanu later appeared on social media with a black eye following the scrap. But despite his battered appearance, he insisted he was fine. He also appeared remarkably keen to get back in the cage with Ciumac.
“I’m fine, everything is normal with me,” he said. “I’m waiting for 30 October and then… My head hurts; I’m getting up tomorrow morning for the press conference. It’ll be gone by the wedding.”
The pair are due to officially face each other in the cage on 30 October in Buzău. Ciumac is being investigated for assault and other acts of violence, as well as disturbing public order and peace.
