Girl, 7, killed in home hearth laid to relaxation as mourners gown in pink for funeral

Mourners dressed in pink for Valentina Foster’s funeral
A seven-year-old girl who was allegedly murdered in a house fire was laid to rest today as mourners lined the streets dressed in pink to pay tribute to the youngster.
Valentina Foster died alongside her 34-year-old auntie Natalie Foster in the house fire in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, on August 26. Today, a funeral was held at St John’s Church in South Bank with a white horse-drawn carriage carrying a bright pink coffin down Normanby Road before the service.
The coffin was covered with white and pink flowers reading “niece”. Many of Valentina’s friends and family walked with the funeral cortege on the way to the church.

The procession for Valentina was followed by a van containing more floral displays spelling out her name, “granddaughter” and fairy wings with the words “Princess TT”, reports the Sun. Pallbearers wearing baby pink T-shirts with pictures of Valentina carried the coffin into the church. Notes included “love you forever TT” and “fly high Princess”.
Grandma Valerie Foster shared a message on social media before the service.
She wrote: “Why you princess, how do I let you go taken from us we are heartbroken I’m numb feel sick don’t even know what to say or write.

“Never in this world did I think that I would have to lay you to rest before me.
“See you soon and give your daddy a big hug off me.”
In a previous tribute, Valentina’s relatives said: “It is with overwhelming sadness that we share the heartbreaking news that our beloved daughter has passed away.

“She was deeply loved and will be missed beyond words by her family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched.
“Our lives have changed forever, and we are struggling to come to terms with this devastating loss.
“Our daughter will always be in our hearts, and her memory will live with us forever. Forever missed by her brothers and sisters.”

Jaden Wright, 23, has been charged following the incident. He is charged with two counts of murder, grievous bodily harm with intent and attempted grievous bodily harm with intent.
He is set to appear in court next Wednesday.
