Supermodel Claudia Schiffer, 56, defies her age in an array of skimpy swimwear throughout getaway in Greece
Claudia Schiffer is famous for her elegant presence on the runway, and she continues to awe with her youthful, age-defying looks and fit physique.
The 56-year-old supermodel dropped jaws as she took to Instagram to share a selection of photos from her summer holiday in Greece.
Schiffer was one of the original 1990s ‘supermodels’ alongside Cindy Crawford – who is grieving the loss of her son Presley.
The blonde beauty modeled swimwear that showed off her willowy five feet eleven inches to perfection.
In one shot, she was seen leaning against a post in the glow of a golden sunset while wearing a sexy striped bikini.
Her hair was perfectly tousled and her eyes were concealed behind white-framed sunglasses as she gave the camera her signature smile, while another image showed Schiffer sunbathing in a whimsical circle-print bikini on a stone terrace.

The German-born catwalk queen also took time out to do a bit of reading while lounging in an infinity pool.
She wasn’t without a sense of humor, posing with a sunhat over her face in another shot.
Schiffer went 1950s retro in another two-piece bikini as she posed on a yacht with her hair in a high ponytail, the afternoon sun in the background.
She showed a picture of herself luxuriating in the breeze during a boat ride.
She did more sunning and enjoyed a swim in the ocean as well.
Schiffer, who represents a variety of luxury fashion houses and brands, made sure to plug some of them in her photo slideshow.
She captioned the photo heap: ‘August in,’ ‘An endless summer,’ and ‘The last highlights of my summer,’ along with ‘Salt water in my hair and Chloé head to toe.’
Followers responded in the comments, writing, ‘Amazing,’ ‘A summer mermaid with the best style,’ ‘Legend,’ ‘Beautiful,’ and ‘Well, you are just ridiculous looking!’

The blonde stunner isn’t only known for her modeling – she has accumulated a list of movie roles and cameos also.
She famously played Carol, the object of Daniel’s admiration, towards the end of 2003’s Love Actually starring Liam Neeson as Daniel.
Schiffer appeared as herself in Ben Stiller’s 2001 fashion satire Zoolander, and before that she had roles in 1999’s Black and White directed by James Toback and 1997’s The Blackout opposite Dennis Hopper and Matthew Modine.
While she hasn’t completely retired from modeling and acting, these days she’s happy for her career to come second to her family.
In a 2024 interview with Hello! magazine, Schiffer admitted her focus changed after she married British filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, 55, in 2002 and they had their three children, Casper, now 23, Clementine, 21, and Cosima, 16.
She became less ‘competitive’ and more content with the balance she’s achieved in her life.
‘When I was in my 20s, traveling around the world, my focus was on my career – working hard, being competitive and getting to the top,’ she said.
‘That changed when I had kids, and now, I feel lucky to have such a wonderful family.

‘I’m proud of my children, they’re very down to earth and their well-being is mine and my husband’s priority.
‘I could take on a lot more runways, photoshoots and other projects, but maintaining a balance that enables me to spend quality time with my family and be there when they need me is far more important to me than doing a great new campaign.’
Schiffer was one of the original supermodels and though she appreciates their position in the fashion industry was ‘revolutionary,’ it was only looking back much later that she understood just how special a time it was.
‘The 1990s saw the rise of the supermodel, but also the emergence of style culture and fearless creativity. A wave of young new talent fundamentally changed the way we viewed fashion and design.
‘Previously, models had been categorized as runway, commercial or editorial, but as supermodels, we traversed those boundaries, becoming household names that represented self-made success.
‘We were at the forefront of everything and whatever we wanted, we made happen, which was revolutionary for the industry. I barely took a day off, traveling constantly across the world, but it was huge fun too.’
She added: ‘It was only when I got married and later became pregnant, so I went at a slower pace, that I could truly look back and appreciate how special the 1990s were – unlike any other decade.’
