Celebs taunted by unusual graffiti throughout metropolis – ‘Danny Dyer smokes Parma Violet vapes’
Light-hearted graffiti making absurd claims about celebrities like Lorraine Kelly and Danny Dyer has appeared in a city suburb, sparking local intrigue
A mystery vandal has been terrorising a city suburb with a series of hilarious and utterly bonkers claims about A-list celebs. Walls across West Denton in Newcastle have been daubed with bizarre slurs targeting stars including EastEnders legend Danny Dyer, daytime TV queen Lorraine Kelly, Rita Ora, Dermot O’Leary and Little Mix babe Jade Thirlwall.
While some of the crude slogans are too filthy to print, others have left locals baffled. One cheeky tag claimed pop star Jessie J “doesn’t donate 10p to charity at the checkout”, while another insisted pop royalty Jade “buys makeup from Poundland”.
A third wild claim insisted TV favourite Lorraine was “barred from Wetherspoons for stealing cutlery”.
Council chiefs tried to spoil the fun by slapping white paint over the graffiti, reports ChronicleLive.
However, the elusive street artist to struck back with a brand new masterpiece declaring: “Danny Dyer Smokes Parma Violet Vapes”.
A range of graffiti in the underpass between West Denton Way from Cornhill also featured a reference to a song by London singer-songwriter Rose Gray.
People on social media have been speculating about who could be behind the unusual ramblings.
On X, Gary Morrison said: “These gems can’t be a kid, they are all gems for people around 35 to 45.”
While another post said: “Neat writing and they’re all about other women judging by the names. I would hazard a guess and say that a woman did it.”
Other bits of graffiti said: “Rita Ora has the Lidl Plus App.” While another said: “RIP Bonnie Tyler, Total Eclipse of our ‘eart’.
And one slogan read: “Stacey Solomon gives Joe a sticker for helping with the dishes.” There was also one saying: “Alesha Dixon made bairns cry at the Hoppings.”
A spokeswoman for Newcastle City Council said the authority was aware of the graffiti and taking action to remove it.
