Man Utd mega flop noticed ‘working in a grocery store’ after returning residence
A striker who flopped at Manchester United was spotted ‘working in a supermarket’ after travelling home for the international break with his country
A Manchester United mega-flop has been seen ‘working in a supermarket’ after he jetted home for the international break.
Rasmus Hojlund, who struggled to find the back of the net during his ill-fated spell at Old Trafford, was part of the Denmark team for the international break. And being back on Danish soil helped him to fulfil one of his sponsor obligations. In a stunt for social media, energy drink company, where he is an ambassador, Hojlund was pitched up on a stall in a supermarket to try and flog some cans.
In the video, the Danish striker – signed by the Red Devils for an eye-watering £72million from Atalanta in 2003 – can be seen standing at the stall, where another worker, Fredrick, comes across to train him.

Fredrick, who looks half-confused and half-starstruck, is asked by Hojlund: “Shall we get started?”
He can then be seen looking around for a camera, before asking Hojlund: “What are you doing here? I just saw you last Saturday!”
And the striker calmly responded: “I’m just working…this is way more important than that s*** [playing football]. The pair start to set up another stall as Hojlund makes a joke about the size of Christian Eriksen’s head.
Once set-up, the prank is revealed and Fredrick gets a snap with the footballer. “Back in Denmark means some side quests,” Hojland said sharing the video.
“What leaving Man Utd does to a man,” one fan joked in the comments section. As a second said: “Rasmus, what is this?”
Hojlund is currently on the books at Napoli, where he is looking to re-find his feet. The Dane has already impressed in Italy, with United snapping him up from Serie A under Erik ten Hag, only for him to go months without scoring a Premier League goal.
He was on the scoresheet for Denmark, however, on Thursday night, as they fell short to a Cristiano Ronaldo-less Portugal. And the influence of the footballing icon wasn’t too far away and Hojlund hit his ‘SIU’ celebration after finding the net.
Hojlund showed solidarity to his hero and the Manchester United legend as he performed the celebration, before appearing to shove the Portugal manager at the centre of the spat with Ronaldo after the full-time whistle in Copenhagen.
Former Benfica boss Jorge Jesus appeared to exuberantly pat Hojlund on the chest when the pair crossed paths. The action prompted a push from the Dane, in a bizarre exchange between the pair.
