Heated airer prices ‘from 4p per hour’ and ‘helps with garments you possibly can’t tumble dry’
‘Great airer, works really well with the cover, dries clothes well and doesn’t give off loads of heat into the room doing it.’

Shoppers looking for an alternative way to dry laundry indoors can pick up a heated airer that costs from around 4p an hour to run. The Three Tier Heated Airer is now up for grabs for £95 from Dunelm, and it is a practical option as colder and wetter weather makes drying clothes outside more difficult.
Made from sturdy aluminium, the three-tiered airer heats up to help speed up the drying process and provides enough space for up to 15kg of washing. Its vertical design provides 20 metres of drying space without taking up too much floor space, while the airer can be folded away neatly when it’s not needed.
It can also be paired with the compatible Three Tier Heated Airer Cover, which creates an enclosed warm space around the laundry to help moisture evaporate more quickly. Running costs are estimated from around 4p per hour, based on a July 2026 electricity rate of 26p per kWh, although the actual cost will depend on individual energy tariffs, the site says.
