‘I attempted Primark’s budget-friendly Okay-Beauty model with stunning outcomes’

OPINION: As somewhat of a skincare junkie, I couldn’t resist trying out Primark’s new budget-friendly K-Beauty line to see what all the fuss is about after it launched back in September

K-beauty fans are in for a treat as some of Korea’s biggest beauty innovations have landed on the UK high street at ridiculously low prices. Primark has teamed up with PURESEOUL, the UK’s No.1 Korean beauty specialist, to launch the K-Beauty Mini Mart and they kindly let me try out some of the products for myself.

Korean beauty and skincare have risen in popularity over recent years thanks to TikTok, so now high street stalwart Primark is getting in on the action. Their new and exclusive collection will bring the best of Korean skincare to Primark shelves for the very first time.

Primark are conscious that times are tough and the public are shopping savvier than ever before, so their new K-beauty prices are intended to be as accessible as possible. The collection is inspired by Korean mini-marts with a playful twist.

The line-up includes Dermablock by CELL FUSION C, First Edition by Sungboon Editor, The Essential by Ariul, Dear Thing by Milktouch, Dropbe by The Saem, The Saem and Realbarrier by REALBARRIER.

The Cerabase Firming Booster Cream by REALBARRIER was a firm (pardon the pun) favourite as the juicy texture instantly brought some moisture to my skin, perfect layered over their Cerabase Moisturising Cream Toner with ceramide and hyaluronic acid.

Speaking of which, The Saem’s Hyaluronic Acid Bio Solution Mask Sheet is a great wake-me-up for those work from home shifts – just remember to take it off before your first meeting of the day!

Milktouch’s Glow Effect Lip Plumper is also the perfect addition to any handbag and I now keep it on hand for a quick touch-up after a few hours out and about.

I was pleasantly surprised by Primark’s new products, which have an unexpectedly luxe feel to them from the packaging all the way down to the ingredients. The range is excellent for anyone on a budget, whether you’re looking to treat yourself or make a loved one feel special this festive season.

The products have been created exclusively for Primark Beauty, meaning shoppers won’t find the range in PURESEOUL’s own stores either. The collaboration is bringing the quality and innovation of Korean beauty to a much more purse-friendly price point, making it easier for shoppers to get a taste of the K-beauty trend without splashing out.

The K-Beauty Mini Mart launched in 25 Primark stores across the UK and Republic of Ireland this September, with plans to roll the collection to even more stores.

So, whether you’re already obsessed with Korean skincare or fancy giving the trend a go, a trip to Primark should be next up on your to do list.
