Male stripper attracts ‘hundreds of girls’ as he ‘appears similar to Channing Tatum’
Will Parfitt, 36, has opened up about how he “attracts thousands of women” to his shows. It’s said they flock to see him as they think he “looks just like Channing Tatum”
A male stripper has allegedly attracted “thousands of women” to his shows as they think he “looks just like Channing Tatum”. Will Parfitt, 36, who’s originally from London but now lives in Australia, has opened up about his sudden journey to global fame.
Will is a social media sensation famed for his striking resemblance to Hollywood star Channing Tatum, and he’s about to venture on his forthcoming UK tour with Magic Men. The UK tour starts in October from Liverpool, and thousands of people are expected to buy tickets to attend.
He’s not the first male stripper to have opened up about his profession though. Previously, another also spoke about what really happens at hen parties.
However, when it comes to Will, he is known for being the face of Magic Men, the internationally acclaimed male entertainment show he co-founded in Australia, which has now sold more than one million tickets worldwide and grown from intimate nightclub performances into arena-scale productions across North America, Asia and Europe.
Most recently, the show drew a record-breaking 6,000-strong audience in Oslo in 2025. However, he started from very humble beginnings.
Speaking about how his journey to stripping started years ago, he explained he was working as a topless waiter but he “never imagined” he would go on to something like his current job.
He was actually working at a local venue in Australia when someone commented on his image. He explained: “Someone started joking about the Channing Tatum thing.”
It wasn’t long before he put a plan in place to develop an idea for the show, which he co-founded. He continued: “Magic Men was something that started out quite small. We were performing for around 50 to 60 people.
“It got bigger and bigger in Melbourne. We toured around Australia and then everything started going crazy, and then having the Channing Tatum thing – it blew it up.”
However, when the Covid pandemic hit, the shows came to a stop, but this didn’t get in Will’s way. During this time, he started to focus more on his his social media profile and build his presence.
It seems to have worked as, since returning to the stage, the show has managed to sell out venues across the world. With more than 15 million followers across social media and performance content generating over two billion views, Will has become one of the world’s most recognisable male entertainment personalities.
It’s mad to think his journey began as a British backpacker in Australia, taking on odd jobs before being invited to perform by a nightclub promoter and subsequently helping to build Magic Men into a global live entertainment brand.
“It’s been crazy,” he added. “I was just trying to make some extra cash.”
However, though he’s been compared to Hollywood hunk Channing Tatum for years, Will now has a fan base of his own. People have been drawn to him on social media for his alleged likeness to the Magic Mike actor, and now they travel miles to see him on stage.
When asked about what it’s like to be compared to him, Will added: “If he were to stand next to me, everyone would be like ‘they don’t look alike’. Maybe after a few drinks, you could see some sort of resemblance.
“You would be like ‘you look like Channing Tatum’.” Even though he doesn’t think they’re identical, his fans seem to think he makes a great lookalike, so he just embraces the comparison.
However, he does admit it’s been nice to have gained a following of his own too. He added: “People bring posters with my name on now. It’s been nice to see they come for me now. It’s lovely to see that recognition. That’s so lovely to see – that they come for me now.”
He also noted that the show isn’t what people expect. For those who have never been, he said it’s not what people often stereotype.
Instead, it’s very interactive. “We have 32 to 50 members of the audience up on stage with us,” he added.
“Oh, and our clothes come off too.” You can find out more about tickets here.
