Far-right protestors conflict with police as 140 migrants arrive on a single dingy

Furious far-right anti-immigration protesters clashed with police last night after almost 150 migrants landed in the UK on a small boat using a new route to avoid detection. Protesters gathered around Haslar Marina in the Hampshire after rumours a small boat carrying migrants was due to land in the area on Sunday evening (October 4).
Footage shared online appeared to show fences being erected in front of emergency vehicles and officers facing abuse. Around 300 protesters gathered at the marina after migrants arrived at around 10.15pm.
The Home Office has since confirmed up to 149 migrants arrived in the UK after their dinghy was followed by French rescue vessels from Normandy. It was brought in by two RNLI boats to the south coast . . .
