Cole Palmer spent part of the international break on a weekend getaway with his stunning girlfriend Olivia Holder after withdrawing from the England squad.
The 24-year-old Chelsea ace made an eye-catching start to the season and was recalled by Three Lions boss Thomas Tuchel after missing out on a World Cup spot. Palmer opted to drop out last month due to load management, having been plagued by injury issues last season.
The midfielder’s decision could benefit his club when the Blues return to action against Bournemouth this weekend. However, it meant that Palmer was not involved as England thumped Croatia 7-0 on Saturday, with the Chelsea star enjoying a break with his partner.

Palmer went official with girlfriend Olivia, who works as a model, in January after the pair were initially spotted on a Winter Wonderland date last December. The couple recently headed to Coworth Park in Ascot on holiday, with Palmer not in action during the international break.
Posting a vlog of their trip on TikTok, Holder showed herself and Palmer going for a bike ride and moving around the five-star hotel’s site in a buggy. She captioned the video: “Weekend in the countryside with my best friend.”
Olivia showcased parts of their luxury room, including the bathroom with two sinks, a standalone bathtub and a stylish shower, while also indulging in a cooked breakfast of bacon, sausage, egg, tomato, beans and a hash brown. Palmer was filmed wearing his bathrobe as he appeared to relax during his time off, with Olivia also sitting by the swimming pool.

It is not the first time that the couple have enjoyed a getaway during an international break. After Palmer was snubbed ahead of the World Cup, he and Olivia soaked up the sun in Ibiza as England earned their opening win over Croatia in June.
The Chelsea talisman’s form under new boss Xabi Alonso prompted his inclusion for the extended international break, with England set to play their fourth Nations League match on Tuesday. Palmer has scored four and assisted two across seven games in all competitions.
The 24-year-old memorably scored for England in the Euro 2024 final against Spain but has since featured for his country only five times, with his most recent cap coming in March. Despite Palmer’s strong start to the campaign, Tuchel emphasised that players will not move up the pecking order without impressing during England camps.

When it was put to the England boss that it appeared Palmer was not desperate to play for the Three Lions, Tuchel said: “It’s hard to argue against what you’re saying. For sure, it’s a missed opportunity. It’s another missed opportunity. He misses too many opportunities. I am his national team coach, and I can only judge him on what he is delivering for the national team, and he is just missing too many opportunities.”
