Christmas could be sorted if you get your hands on one of four Waitrose and John Lewis vouchers now up for grabs.

We’re coming up to the most magical time of the year, when mince pies are heated, mulled wine wafts and joy generally abounds. It can also be one of the more expensive times of the year, especially for families. Which is why winning our latest competition would be such a welcome boost.

Four people will pocket a £100voucher to spend at Waitrose or John Lewis, and there are plenty of excellent Christmas goodies on sale at both. A great place to start is with John Lewis’ top ten Christmas toys for 2026.

Older kids will love the Plus-Plus Learn to Build Space Super Set, which is built for ages 5 and up and encourages creative kids to construct their own planets and astronauts for £49.99.

If you’re after a stocking filler, the cheapest item on the list is the Momiji Sugar Plum Wood Message Doll, at just £14.99. It’s a collectable blind box doll, and with an age rating of 15 and over, it’s one for older fans rather than little ones.

Budding entertainers will love the Marvin’s Magic Treasured Tricks Wooden Set, which costs £39.99 and is aimed at children aged six and up. It’s a screen-free way to put on a family show at home.

For the very youngest, the Mon Ami Colette Duck Soft Toy is £40 and suitable from birth, so it’s a sweet gift for a newborn.

Slightly older children can get stuck into the Connetix Ball Run Launcher Pack Set, priced at £45 and designed for ages three and up.

Grown-up fans of festive building are catered for by the LEGO Icons Winter Village Collection Holiday Express Train, at £109.99. It’s exclusive to John Lewis and LEGO, and the brand recommends adult supervision.

The Micro Scooters Mini Micro Eco Gruffalo Foldable LED Scooter, £116.95, is the pick for outdoor adventures and is expected to be a top seller amid soaring demand for all things Gruffalo.

If you really want to push the boat out, the most expensive item on John Lewis’s top 10 toys for Christmas 2026 list is the Le Toy Van Paddington Doll’s House, which will set you back £299.95 – a full £49.95 more than the voucher provides. The stylish townhouse comes with a little Paddington doll and some tasteful mid-century furniture.

A little more affordable are the Mattel K-Pop Demon Hunters Singing Doll, yours for £34.99, and the John Lewis Wooden Breakfast in Bed Set, for £24, aimed at two-year-olds.

When it comes to filling up the fridge ahead of the busy festive season, Waitrose has you covered.

If you really want to push the boat out, the priciest item in Waitrose’s 2026 Christmas bakery line-up is the No.1 Sausage Roll Yule Log, which costs £25 for 850g. This sharing centrepiece has a pork, turkey, ham and chestnut filling, wrapped in crisp, all-butter pastry, and it should comfortably feed eight. It looks absolutely delicious.

For dessert, the one to look out for is the new Polly the Polar Bear Cheesecake, priced at £14 for 1kg. It’s a baked Belgian chocolate cheesecake on a cocoa biscuit base, topped with ganache and dusted with sweet “snow” in the shape of Waitrose’s festive character, complete with a gold nose.

If you’d rather keep things casual, the No.1 Woodfired Tartiflette Sourdough Pizza is £6.75 for 437g. It’s an easy option for the days around Christmas itself.

Mince pie fans should look to the No1 Brown Butter Mince Pies with Cognac. Last year they cost £4 for six, and were a Which? Best Buy for the second year running, so they’re worth splashing out on.

Finally, for anyone avoiding gluten or dairy, the Free From Cranberry & Orange Blondies are £3.75 for a pack of four, a cheap and cheerful treat.
