An adult star who left Britain with just £100 and a rucksack after losing her job and home is now releasing her debut album at the age of 40. Chloe Lopez, originally from Hertfordshire, fled to Spain after the pandemic left her homeless and ended up sleeping on a beach. The former receptionist had worked for a commercial property business for 15 years before deciding to start again abroad.

She went on to find online fame with controversial videos and says she earned as much as £62,000 in a single month through adult content. But now Chloe is leaving the raunchy lifestyle that made her famous behind and reinventing herself through music.

Her debut album, No Risk, No Story, features 16 tracks inspired by five years of rebuilding her life – from homelessness to viral fame and starting over again.

Chloe, who has 339,000 Instagram followers at @‌chloejadelopez, said: “I want people to know it’s never too late to change their lives.

“I think if I hadn’t been homeless and taken the trip and been on the journey, I wouldn’t be where I am now.”

Before losing her job, Chloe had been earning a decent salary before her life took an unexpected turn.

She was unhappy and drinking every weekend to escape how she felt. When the pandemic hit, she lost her job and home and decided to leave England with just a rucksack and £100 in cash.

Chloe slept on a beach on her first night in Spain before sofa surfing with people who helped her get back on her feet. While staying with people who had taken her in, Chloe spotted her dream property online, available to rent for six months.

She said: “I looked at the photos every day and pictured myself living there. I eventually managed to find the money for the six months upfront, but after paying for it I literally had nothing left to buy food that night.

“I didn’t care because for the first time in years I knew I had a home for the next six months.”

Desperately needing cash, Chloe began filming her journey and learning how to grow an audience online. She filmed interviews on her phone before a controversial sketch in which she pretended to remove her knickers in public went viral.

Knowing this was her ticket to online fame, Chloe continued with the winning formula, but it sparked outrage. Locals trolled her and urged the police to take action after Chloe filmed herself leaving her knickers in beach bars and even the bread tray of a Mercadona supermarket.

She said: “It just blew up. So I was like, I’ve got something here that works.

“I just redid what had worked over and over again, and it went really viral.”

But Chloe was determined to turn her life around and set herself an ambitious financial goal. She said: “I wrote on a piece of paper that I wouldn’t drink alcohol again until I had made £50,000 in one month.

“What I didn’t know was that it would take me nearly three years to get there.

“Why I picked £50,000 I have absolutely no idea. At the time it may as well have been £50 or £5 million because I literally had nothing.”

While sitting in a cafe, Chloe spotted an article about a woman earning £30,000 a month through an adult online platform and decided to try it herself. But success was far from instant. She said: “People think you just open an account and make money, but some of my first months were only a few hundred pounds.

“I realised I had to build my social media audience first and somehow get people from those platforms over to my page.”

Chloe eventually began having months where she made around £30,000 to £32,000. She said: “I remember being at a big family celebration where everyone was drinking and celebrating.

“I could easily have told myself I’d done well enough and had a drink, but I’d made a promise to myself. The goal was £50,000, not £30,000.

“The following month I finally hit it, making £53,000, and then £62,000 the month after. That period taught me a lot about sacrifice and discipline. The parties will always be there. The nights out will always be there.

“But sometimes you have to sacrifice what feels good now for what you really want later. Sometimes changing your life starts with keeping one promise to yourself.”

Chloe says reaching the goal also changed the way she thought about what she could achieve.

She said: “That was when I became a real believer in manifestation. It completely changed my mindset and made me believe that if I became completely focused on something and kept going long enough, I could change my life.

“A year ago I thought, this isn’t really aligning with what I want to do now.”

Chloe now says constantly checking views and feeling she had to create content left her burnt out.

She said: “If you’re chasing views or feeling like you’ve got to create, you lose the passion and then it burns out.

“You’re creating out of desperation, instead of feeling inspired and wanting to motivate people.”

So Chloe decided to ditch the content that made her famous, despite knowing it might drive some fans away.

She said: “I lost everything again and ended up back at square one.

“That’s why this time the dream isn’t just about making money or proving something to myself. I want to create something that helps other people believe they can rebuild too.

“That’s where Capillion came from.”

Chloe is now building Capillion, a music, visuals and mindset project inspired by her experiences, and has turned her journey into a 16-song album called No Risk, No Story.

She said: “I didn’t know at the time when I was going through this journey for the last five years, but I’ve ended up writing an album and every song is a piece of the journey that I’ve been on.

Chloe’s album No Risk, No Story mixes deep house, Afro house and euphoric sounds, with each song telling part of her journey.

She said: “I was laying in the sea one day, staring at the sun and looking for answers. Suddenly I realised, you’ve got a whole story and a whole journey to share. So I just started writing and I came up with 16 songs that explain my whole journey.”

Chloe now hopes to build a community around Capillion and encourage others who feel stuck to find a new path.

She said: “It’s been five years, I’m still alive, I’m still living out of a suitcase, but that’s the most exciting thing.

“I think I’m restarting all over again and it feels like the beginning again five years on, but from the most exciting place ever.”
