Fella polishes off monster 12,000-calorie cooked breakfast in 34 minutes – then has dessert
Max Stanford chomped his way through a huge platter featuring 14 sausages, 14 rashers of bacon, 14 fried eggs, 14 hashbrowns and 10 black pudding slices as well as a host of sides
A YouTuber had no issues polishing off a gigantic 12,000 calorie fry up – and even had space for pudding. Max Stanford easily chowed down on the monster cooked breakfast in less than 34 minutes.
Max Stanford, known on his social platforms as Max vs Food, chomped his way through a huge platter featuring 14 sausages, 14 rashers of bacon, 14 fried eggs, 14 hashbrowns and 10 black pudding slices.
As well as the meat overload, he also took in 10 slices of fried toast, five slices of bread, five slices of toast and six portions of beans, mushrooms and tinned tomatoes, washing down the mammoth feast with two pots of tea, in just 33 minutes and 55 seconds.
Max tackled the 11,444-calorie feast, containing almost six times the recommended daily 2,000-calorie intake for women, at Tunny’s Little Common Kitchen in Rotherham, South Yorkshire on October 9.
The cafe is run by fellow British Eating League [BEL] event competitor Carl Tunstill, known as Tunny vs Food on social media.
Max decided to double the breakfast Carl usually offers to competitors, turning it into an eye-popping challenge. On a video shared online just after finishing, Max said: “Tunny that was a very good breakfast. Right until the end I was still enjoying it even though I’m very, very full.”
If that wasn’t enough to fill his belly, Carl brought an eight-person serving of cornflake tart with custard.
Max made a valiant effort, but tapped out after 14 minutes and 47 seconds.
Founder and President of British Eating League, Craig Harker, said: “As President of the British Eating League, it’s brilliant to see Tunny going from competing as a BEL eater to opening his own café, Tunny’s Little Common Kitchen in Rotherham.
“He knows the sport from both sides now, taking on challenges himself and creating them for other eaters.
“Max didn’t just tackle Tunny’s breakfast challenge – he doubled it.
“That meant 14 sausages, 14 rashers of bacon, 14 eggs, 14 hash browns, 10 slices of black pudding, 20 slices of bread and fried bread, plus all the beans, tomatoes and mushrooms.
“Based on those quantities, you could be looking at roughly 12,000 calories, depending on portion sizes and how it’s cooked. It’s an enormous amount of food, but what stands out for me is the competitive performance.
“People see Max clear a breakfast like this and make it look easy, but they don’t see the preparation, discipline and determination behind it.
“Competitive eating is a sport with rules, time limits and rankings, and the best competitors work hard at what they do.
“Max is our reigning British Eating League champion and chasing his fifth title this year.
“This shows why he’s the UK’s number one, while Tunny’s new café is another great example of a BEL competitor turning his passion into a business.”
