Prince William left ‘seething’ at Harry and Meghan Markle’s newest transfer
Prince William is reportedly furious after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a high-profile trip to Nottingham, with a royal insider claiming it was the ‘final straw’ for the Prince of Wales
Prince William has reportedly been left livid after Harry and Meghan’s most recent public visit, according to insiders. A royal source alleges that the Sussexes’ trip to Nottingham was the ‘final straw’ for the Prince of Wales.
Harry and Meghan journeyed to the East Midlands on Thursday, October 15, stopping by the Community Recording Studio (CRS) and the Himmah charity, as well as greeting the throngs of fans who had gathered along the streets.
However, a New Idea Royal insider suggests that this move has incensed Harry’s elder brother, William. ” Prince William is seething,” the source alleges.
“William could not believe what he was seeing. It was the final straw for him.”
“It couldn’t have looked more like an official royal duty if it tried. It was as if they’d totally ignored Charles’ letter. William is furious about it.
“He would have little hesitation in doing everything in his power to block them. He’s so angry, if he could kick them out of the country right now, he would.

Upon their return to the UK, Harry and Meghan were identified as “non-working royals and private citizens” in a letter from King Charles widely distributed in September. Despite this, the Sussexes returned to Nottingham – a city they visited back in 2017 as working Royals – for their first joint public appearance since returning to the country.
According to the source, “there are now intense meetings being held between William and the King’s advisers on how to avoid Harry and Meghan gatecrashing other events or clashing with senior royals’ events.”
They continued: “Upstaging any other senior royal, by having an event on the same day, is very much not the done thing. Royal diary clashes are avoided at all costs, but Harry and Meghan totally ignored that rule with their Nottingham stunt.”
“Harry really should have known better than to upstage his father, but he and Meghan went ahead anyway.”
“Harry’s not going to be pushed around by his brother. He’s determined to make a go of his life in the UK – and Meghan is on board. If it comes to a stand-off, Harry is up for it.
“Behind the scenes, Charles will be doing all he can to calm William down and let him deal with the Sussexes in his own way. For now, he has to toe the line, but if Harry and Meghan continue to go rogue, William will have no hesitation in confronting Charles about them – sooner rather than later.”
Representatives for the Prince and Princess of Wales have been approached for comment.
