Prince Harry has admitted he is looking to reconcile with his brother Prince William and father King Charles in his first interview since his return to the UK. The Duke of Sussex dropped the bombshell and said “the most important thing is to reconcile.”

Harry, who returned back to the UK along with his wife Meghan Markle and two kids in August, appears to have offered an olive branch to the Royal Family with his public message of reconciliation.

His relationship with his brother and father has been strained following Megxit, which saw Harry and Meghan step down as working royals. It was further pressured by Harry’s media project on Netflix and his own book, Spare, dropping bombshell allegations.

Now Harry has said he is looking to patch up his relationship with the senior royals now he is back in the UK, following his children being enrolled in schools.

Speaking to GQ, Harry said: “Some people don’t want it to work out. I want it to work out. With everything else that’s going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile — that’s the key point.

“Scars stick around forever. But what your perception is, and what your mindset is to those things that have happened, letting go of the past. That’s something that I would encourage everybody to do: If there’s certain things from the past that are still affecting you every day, that’s harder to let go of.

Britain's Prince Harry (L) and Meghan (R), Duke and Duchess of Sussex, depart the Himmah food bank and community food project, in Nottingham, Britain, 15 October 2026. The couple are visiting a number of charities and businesses in the East Midlands city.

“But, for me, there’s enough drama in the world and enough drama in people’s lives to continue with issues with family.”
