For fork’s sake! Irate businessman makes use of forklift to maneuver automobile parked in entrance of his warehouse

Luke Thurling, 38, owner of Stockport Pallet Warehouse, shared viral footage of him using a forklift to remove a car parked across his business shutter – and he says it happens all the time

A blue forklift is positioned beside a gray sedan in an outdoor parking area. The forklift has a red canopy, and an individual is seated in the driver's seat, facing the car. The backdrop includes a building with a brick wall and a green door, and a black vehicle is parked nearby.

An irate businessman took matters into his own hands after growing fed up with motorists constantly blocking his business — by using a forklift to shift an inconsiderate parker’s car out of the way. Luke Thurling, 38, couldn’t believe it when he arrived at work earlier this month to find a vehicle parked right across the front of his premises in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

Having endured the problem time and time again at his pallet warehouse, Luke did not hang about. He jumped straight into his forklift and lifted the entire car clear of his shutter, capturing the whole thing on camera before posting it to social media.

He told NeedToKnow: “Someone parked right in front of our shutter, so we couldn’t open the warehouse. Luckily, we had a forklift handy. Usually we shift pallets, but today we’ve branched out into valet parking.”

A forklift is positioned adjacent to a grey SUV in an outdoor setting, possibly in a parking area. The forklift is blue and has the word "LUON" displayed on its side. The SUV features a license plate on its front bumper. In the background, there is a building with various signs and an individual, partially visible, standing near the vehicle.

He also issued a tongue-in-cheek plea to the public, saying: “Please keep our shutter clear – we’ve got enough customer returns without adding a Ford Fiesta to the pile.”

The clip, posted on Thursday (October 15), went viral almost instantly, clocking up a staggering 124,000 views online. Luke, who runs Stockport Pallet Warehouse, decided to make the footage public after repeatedly finding cars blocking access to his business — and it’s safe to say the internet loved every second of it, reports the Manchester Evening News.

He claimed that because of the sheer number of gyms in the vicinity, the car park becomes absolutely rammed with motors. Luke explained: “There’s multiple gyms in Hallam Mill, the car park is constantly blocked. The owner seemed to drive off unaware of what happened.”

An individual with a beard and glasses is seated next to a vehicle, appearing to be engaged in a conversation or making a statement, while the vehicle and a blurred background are visible in the scene.

The vehicle shifted by the forklift was a 2007 Vauxhall Zafira Energy. The clip left viewers in absolute stitches.
